After several trips to actual brick and mortar stores and MUCH comparison shopping on line, I ordered most of the C gifts for grandchildren online last night. Three of the 5 "stores" have already emailed me that the orders have been sent out. All items are being sent directly to the grandchildren locations, so NO carry-on or checked suitcases full of nothing but gifts.

I'm getting to be like June! Well, not quite, but I seem to have dropped in at just the right time - which is her trick...

I'm finding it hard to type - I've just put on nail polish for the first time in months and I'm trying not to smudge it. I'm really not patient enough for nail polish!

I know the feeling about nail polish, but my nails are SOO bad and layer off, that I have been trying to remember to use some special polish/protection stuff from Sally Hansen, I think. The new stuff I used last time seems to work better than what I had before. (I'm not trying to be elusive, just don't know the names and too lazy to get up and find out what it's called.)

Bye, Suzy & Hubby! Good luck shopping! I am on the run, too, as I need to grab a quick bite and get ready to go to a meeting. I hope to see everyone later!

Back in and exhausted. Too many hay bales and buckets of feed to lift.
I did have one silly thing happen. To minimize the lifting, I place the buckets of feed in the front end loader of a tractor
and carry them to the feed lot that way. When I got on the tractor to drive to the feedlot (nearly 1/2 mile), I spotted a little bantam hen under the tractor seat.
She actually laid some eggs there, and is brooding them. So I drove to and from the feedlot with her riding along. Didn't seem to upset her at all.
Silly chicken.

Quite possibly. These little bantam Cochins are world class brooders. They can hatch almost anything. As soon as they hatch, though, I will have to take them and put them safely in my brooder box in the feed room. Otherwise the cats will eat them.

lets hope some coffee will kick start me.
Slept in really late...feel a bit better than yesterday...if only my head and all my joints would stop aching. Hope it clears enough to go see a film at 2.30...booked last week when I was well!! Canceled all the morning engagements and have to go out to restock the larder so will reward the effort with a film. Makes sense... to me at least!

Hi, Tami! Good Night, Tami!
Hi, Heidi! I liked your story about the bantam hen and her choice of location to lay her eggs. What is the incubation period? It's good that she didn't seem to mind the ride with you.

Hi, Rolanda! Thanks for keeping us up to date on Rena & Amber's progress. They are making so many memories!
Hi, Broni! I hope all has gone well with D & D. (I think you went to krow today.)
Hi, Bean! I hope you're feeling better. Certainly makes sense to me that you should reward yourself for the larder restocking with a movie!

HI ALL, I am home from a day that was a lot busier than I wanted. We went to bank, took back the monitor, went to Aldi for milk bread cereal and such. Stopped for lunch, cause I was hungry and had not packed a lunch. Barely had time to get the cold things in fore time to go to the doc, and that is always a LONG wait.
Doc was happy with my blood sugar levels nad tweaked the meds trying to find one that did not hurt my tummy. Said the results of the monitor should be back by my next appointment. Not wanting to make any changes now cause looks like things have settled down now, good move doc! I was so tired when we got home it was nap first, then we would find dinner.
Shucks,I started writing this and left it when sand man hit, that is how tired I waas.

Julie... the incubation is 21 days. She's going to be out and about on that tractor several times a day for a while, too. Because of her, though, I started parking that tractor in a barn to keep her warmer and dryer.

I need to get back to krow. Feed dogs and maybe run a load of laundry. IH is leaving for Wisconsin tomorrow to spend Thanksgiving with his parents. I have the feeling that this will be the last one with his mother.

Sorry to hear you still have more krow to do, Heidi! Have the dogs been fed? So you stay home and give thanks for being alone while hubby drives (?) to Wisconsin? I guess with all the animals and all the work you have to do, you can't really "get away."
MizTricia, what a LONG day you have had. So glad you were able to return the monitor and doc is trying to adjust meds so there's less tummy trouble. Please take care of yourself!
I'm just popping in, then popping out now. Don't know if I'll be able to get back - another early morning tomorrow.
