What's bean happening Viv?

Well hubby went to Centrelink this arvo.
Cannot get any payments until March next year.
But they have made appts. for both of us tomorrow morning at an employment agency.

I wouldn't mind some part time work but the Avon keeps me busy the rest of the time.

Aren't They a nice business, so so caring especially at this time of the year.

That was said with 'tongue in cheek'.

Viv - why oh why can't they give him any payment until MARCH!!! That seems ridiculous. You need to find some of those people who can work the system, who make a profession out of it. They know the loopholes.
Viv and June - what with one thing and another, you've both had a SH*T of a time (sorry, but it's true).

I got timed out on that last message but it went through anyway.
Can't remember who asked - visit with Mum started well but ended badly with her throwing a tanty because I was 'leaving her with strangers'. I waited a while and we started talking to another resident who sat down with her, eventually she let me go with no trouble. It doesn't make you feel good though. I could go on but I don't want to write a book.

I'm back so of course the friends box is empty...

Viv, I'm guessing no payments until March because of the holiday pay and the 5 weeks severance? Sucks big time! Stops you from keeping emergency funds in the bank.

And if hubby is the one who is unemployed, why do you have to register for work? That's a sucky system too! Sign yourself up for a TAFE course, that should do it.

Bummer Cyn. You have mentioned that sometimes there are bad days. I am glad that you were able to stay with her for a little longer so she calmed down before you left, though that is hard on you.

Well I took the girls shopping for clothes - what a pain. For once we go out deliberately to find clothes and would you believe it, none of us like the new season fashions! Why do we always see things when we're not actually looking, but can't find anything we like when we are???

it is 1:21 am. Suzy. I was sleeping nicely when hubby came in from office, startled me awake. Our door is a slider and no way to open it silently.

We went to 8 shops to find a swimsuit for Ebob. Finally found something that she liked. It's a bikini of course, she won't wear a one piece, but she also got the matching boardies as she won't wear swimmers without them now. They are cute though so I'm glad we persisted.

We managed to find a long shirt/short dress each for them. Ally found a top she loves but it is on the expensive side. I've told her she can have it depending how much she spends on the dress she wants but can't find.

Board shorts MizT, like the stuff boys wear to the beach only made for girls.

Just heard a news intro saying someone from my home town is in Mumbai and 'caught up in it'

15 people from NSW in Mumbai, one from my home town and they can't confirm that he is safe...

Others were on their way to Mumbai but couldn't get out of Bangkok.
