Hello again Ando - it was only luck I checked back on your page and saw your message. It's best to click on "Check out my page" in blue on someone's message and type it on their page. That way there's more chance of someone seeing your message to them. You can also go to someone's page and send them a private message as shown up in the top right hand corner of their page, as in yours above.
Anyway, yes, we've had a few gatherings in Perth, not recently though. I've also had people from France, Queensland, and Perth stay at my place in Albany. Perhaps when I come to Perth we can try to arrange a get together. We're all just ordinary people with a love for doing puzzles initially, the friendships just grew from there.
There's certainly nothing nerdy about joining sudoku. It's mostly fun.
