Kookaburra

Laura feeding a kookaburra. She got a fright when the second one flew down and landed 6 inches in front of her.

Laura is beautiful, and the Kookaburra is wonderful.
I didn't realize that they were THAT big.

Heidi, they are huge! And very daunting up close, aren't they June. They have very long beaks, but are incredibly gentle when they take meat out of your hand.

June - this photo is fabulous! Brave Laura! I would love to see the Kookaburra in person...that is so cool how Gail talked about their gentle nature.
