The SULTAN (again)

The SULTAN; aka BAPAK; aka GRANDPA; aka ME ---
By request.
A little more relaxed this time, and without my anachronistic and light-reflecting spectacles.

As an artifact, this photo has distorted my skin colour to blue and my skin is not at all blue. So I am not as blue-bloodedly royal as the picture would suggest. Indeed my skin is never anything like blue, even in an Arctic blizzard and it certainly isn't blue in that heat. Anyway the blood of a Sultan is neither red nor blue - it is a golden colour.

Very handsome, indeed. I love the smile, and the mischievous sparkle in the eyes. The Sultan role is yours for the asking.

Ahhh, Rayray, your personality is showing through in that photograph. I do imagine you were having an excellent time. Is this one of your favorite photos of yourself? You do not appear blue on my cpmputer, but a nice healthy rosy color skin, almost glowing.

I have few photos of myself because I am usually pushing the shutter release. I have used the delay shutter function once or twice. When a nice watch was stolen in Bangkok; even when I had reported it to the Thai police my travel insurers refused to pay up because I could not provide them with a photo of me wearing the watch - because I could not find such a photo. I suppose if I had found one they might have asked me to prove it was me wearing it. Please; can you recommend me an honest travel insurance company?

Ah, sir? Ummm , hmmm, should I curtsy in the European style or should I go down on my knees and bow low in the Asian style? Again you messed up your image of a stodgy old man and left that of a dashing Sultan!

I think I like those hands quite a bit. They're artistic, yet strong. They show a lot of character.

Are you a palm-reader, Heidi?
If I directed that question to the kids, they would probably start counting the coconut palms
