Young Cockatiels

I just bought 4 young birds that haven't been weaned yet: 2 lutinos (white ones), a normal gray pied (on the right) and a cinnamon pearl pied (top left). They're too young to tell their genders.
Update: The lutinos are females and the other 2 are males.

Pretty! Hubby wants one of these...

Are you going to let them explore the house or could that turn them into dog food?

How will they get their nourishment if they haven't been weaned yet? Or are they still at the breeders and this is a picture sent to you? Anyway, looks like they'll be gorgeous.

To answer. They will have a large cage 40'' x30'' x72'' (102cm x 76cm x 183cm) all to themselves in my sunroom/ birdroom. They will NOT be turned into dog food!

The breeder is finishing hand raising them. He sent me this picture yesterday. Once they're weaned, I'll drive up to get them. It's just under 4 hours each way.... an easy drive.

Heidi, thanks for shrinking the photos, now I can see them just fine. those are so cute, I can see why you had to have them. How many birds in your bird room now?

These look like wild birds we have here.
Judy had one.I am sure they are Australian natives.
They can talk too.

Yes, Cockatiels are native to Australia, and are very easily tamed and trained. Most bird experts consider them to be the very best birds for pets.
