Congradulations on your #4 grandchild. I had a good laugh when you said you something along the lines of being a grandmother at 47. I would think that would be wonderful still young enough to run around with the little ones. I have to ask would you rather be a grandparent at 47 or a new parent at 40, which is what we are doing. We planned our family to start 20 years ago but the plans are just now developing so to speak.

I haven't been to Ballarat for over twenty years! I would like to take my daughter to Sovereign Hill though so maybe I will venture there again soon. I liked the town of Ballarat. I live and work in Sydney's north!

Thank you for the birthday greeting. I spent a quiet day at home and hubby and the kids went and got take out for dinner.
I am truly thankful to be living in such a wonderful place. We are 9 km up a dirt road. We have lots of snow right now and it has snowed quite a bit since I got home.

I love unbirthdays. My husband and I used to have they all the time. I havn't told Gath about the mistake. Wonder if I'll get another birthday later?

Thank you Sophia for your kind words of comfort. My Dad was ready to go as he hated knowing that he was losing his memory and felt that he was a burden to us at least now he is at peace.

Sophia, thank you so much for your kind words when Mum passed. I feel privileged that I was able to share her last week with her. She has always been a great life teacher and I was still learning in that week. She was an inspiration.

Congratulations on your upcoming 28th anniversary. When is it, if you don't mind my asking? It sounds like you and Richard found your life mates in each other, the same way Scott and I feel. We knew from the day we started dating that we were meant to be together forever.

Thank you for the compliment! Yes, some of my paintings are for sale, but I have a hard time parting with them unless I know at the begining of the painting that it is to be given away!
Watercolours are my main interest. I used to be a quilter, but got discouraged or disillusioned with it because the actual quilting of the quilt was hard for me. I liked designing, color selection, and cutting out the pieces best. I'd sew go as far as sewing them together and then they just sat...In other words, I have a great 'quilt top collection' in my cupboard!
I found you don't have to quilt a painting!

An extra 'sew' in that last post!
