Hi Fiona! to you & your family. Do the kids go trick or treating in France? Had to watch your you-tube to see who this Vanessa Paradis is. She is beautiful & has a lovely voice & the affection of Johnny Depp, but she's still not perfect. Looks to me like she could use a little dental work to close the gap betwen her front teeth!

I have good news and bad news.

GOOD NEWS:- We located all the dogs and caitlin said she didn't mind giving one up for me to send to you.

BAD NEWS:- Cavalier King Charles was NOT released in Australia.

The only ones released here were:- Golden Retriever, Beagle, German Shepher, Labrador, Husky, Pug, C O Cker Spaniel, Poodle, Miniature Schnauzer, Dalmation, West Highland Terrier and Dachshund...........not a cavalier in sight.

Fiona, thank you for the birthday greeting. Actually I like having my birthday so close to Christmas. It is like one big, week-long party (for me at least - I'm not sure my family would agree as I begin practicing to be the birthday princess immediately after Christmas Day so I'll be prepared when my birthday actually arrives). thanks for asking about the tartan avatar. it has zoomed right past most people. lol. t was even called a "black blob". lol. some fellow sudokuists helped me find web sites to purchase tartan scarves. i bought 3 from Cavan Co., Ireland as christmas for 2 DILs and me. the family tartan, which is the avatar, is hard to find and i can only purchase a minimum of 10 yards. sounds like they will make it special order, but i don't have an extra $1000US, sitting around just for tartan material. lol. so i'll wait on it. i've used it on my stationery, also. it's been great fun to see who recognizes a tartan, let alone recognize a tartan by name. lol. i sure couldn't pick them by name.
the story behind the avatar is that my #2 son has been researching the family trees for his daughter. i've been adding to it with family stories. in this process, i found that the Lamont family was "chased" out of Scotland and the 4 children (boys) took other family last names in Cavan Co, Ireland. in about 3 generation, one of them married a Curry and down the line we come.....the avatar is Curry tartan, just for your general info.

thought i'd send another note to let you know how much i loved France. i left part of my heart there. hubby and i went to calais from london via the chunnel and drove on to Paris, then returned to London by ferry. it was great fun. a gal friend went with me last year to have a hip replaced in versailles. we were there 3 weeks and had a great time, even tho i was in the hospital for 12 days. i'm ready to go back, lots more to see. you've probably seen some of my pix posted. they keep going around. lol
