My Kara Renee is also 1969 03 May. I found Kara's name in the dictionary one day, there is a sea in Russia named Kara. Her name is pronounced (Care). I found out a few years back that there was a Kennedy Kara, which I did not know about. Don't know about there, but there are more and more young Kara's.
My Kara is 5'10" and I am 5'3" most days. That is what I get marrying a man 6'4". Kara got her name because we could not agree on any other K name. I had planned on 3 kids Kevin, Kara, Kelly, only have Kevin & Kara my sister used Kelly for her daughters name.

I am so glad you visited my site, because I wouldn't have known you were a fellow watercolorist! I am painting a white orchid right now. I hope it's as nice as your big white flower! (Forgot its name & when I check to see, I lose my message & have to start over!)

Hi, Orianne!
Thank you for visiting my page and taking me out of my lethargy
That maple syrup was delicious.
I looked through your pictures. They are lovely. Just wanted to ask: Did you always knew how to paint, or it is something that you learn recently? Sure you have an eye of an artist. It is showing even through your photographs.
I'm leaving for you and your guests some oriental sweets.
Best wishes for all your family and of course my hugs for your lovely cat and dog.
And I wish you to have success in creation of new pictures.

Texas is becoming more and more a tourist attraction, especially in the spring and early summer before it gets too hot.
What part of the state are they visiting, do you know?

Good Morning Orianne - I am embarrassed! I left a complaint on tough about looking at snow.
Here you have it so cold! That is dangerously cold! I can remember back in the 90's we had a week or two of -20 (F)temperatures. It hurt to even walk outside! Stay warm and have a good day! We have a "warm" 7 (F) today.

Hello Orianne - YOU did not embarrass me. I did it myself! I shouldn't complain. It will be HOT before we know it. I am just tired of looking at snow. I always enjoy your visits as well. Our family went to "Rock Lake" for about 11 years in a row vacationing. It is north of Bruce Mines, about 1 hour east of Sault Saint Marie. We love that area up there. Have a great day, Orianne. Cheers

Hi Orianne I seem to be having a problem with your comments not appearing only for the fact that I have email alert ticked I wouldnt have known that you had visited. How is your husband recovery going? My husband had his first blood test since the operation and it came back all clear. Thank you for the goodies will catch up soon.

Glad you did. I hope you saw through the smoke screen and discovered the dry gallows humor I tried to impart vis-á-vis this morning's poetry. I have no motive whatsoever in making any qualatative remarks about anyone's poetry. To do so may put me in a position of having to demonstrate in some way that I knew what I was talking about. I will, however, mine a phrase for material deserving a bon mot.

I posted that video for Shosho. She has indicated an interest in becoming a piper. I have sort of taken it upon myself to nudge her along providing encouragement and advice, especially on what not to buy when kitting up. Hope I'm not talking out of school, but she told me she wanted "Amazing Grace" piped at her funeral. Her family had a mild questioning objection because she is Buddhist but she said she really liked to hear it and wanted it. I responded by suggesting the addition of "Flowers of the Forest". Any time I have piped a funeral, I have always insisted on 'Flowers' even if all they want is "A. Grace', I'll step way off to the side and play it. They always respond positively after the fact.

I wish I could remember who else I told this too. Several years ago I was a member of the City of McPherson Pipe Band. Each year at the McPherson highland games, the band would march from the big park a couple of blocks to the city library where the band would play a few tunes. One particular visit to the library, the band was circled up and had gone through the planned selection. Then the solo piper started playing Amazing Grace. The second time through, the drum corps and the rest of the band came in and we played through two more times, the second time in four part harmony. The solo piper closed it out one last time through. As we were starting to form up to march back to the park, I noticed a lady straight across from me with tears streaming down her cheeks.
Two weeks later, the band mounted up and we drove to Denver for the highland games there. That Saturday evening, I went to the hotel ball room early to get a good table for us at the ceilidh. While sitting at and presumably saving the table for the rest of the guys, two ladies sat down across from me. The first thing I heard one say to the other was: "If I hear Amazing Grace on the bagpipes one more time, I'm going to puke".
So there you have it. The full spectrum of appreciation. I'm glad you are counted among the former.

If you could see the look on our cat's face when I get my pipes out to practice.... I'm just glad she can't get her little fingers around the key to my gun cabinet, I think she's shoot that poor goose to put it out of her misery. Just the sound of the latches on the case sometimes sends her off to some closet on the other side of the house.

I read your phrase on the first page.
yeah, when you gets older, lonely and here there's nothing special to do.
even using the internet is not very well developed here.
so after retirement, it's been more than one year already, and life is nothing here.

Hello Orianne - I just stopped by to say, "hi." Is your snow starting to melt up there? I can hear the birds in the morning chirping. Spring is definitely getting close. Have a great day, Orianne.

Hi Orianne! Just got on after a few days and found your comment on my page. My eclipse photos are nothing compared to what Kathy (Valrico) has on her page. I think her hubby took them. Of course it's easier to experiment with different camera settings when it's not below freezing! Thanks for the maple syrup - yum! I don't know where Hubbard OH is. Surprisingly (to me, anyway) a lot of people live in or used to live in Ohio. It would not be my first choice!!! No beach, no mountains.

Hi Orianne, and glad you made the most of the storm by sharing the time with friends. You folks really got socked. I went to church yesterday on snowshoes! Believe me, it wasn't my idea to send so much snow your way ...
We're off for massages tonight to soothe our skiing and shovelling muscles; my shoulders are up around my ears. Take care and stay warm and safe.

I'm happy to share! In fact, you are welcome to one...or two...or three...or seven of them!
It might be difficult to get them to Ottawa, but if you happen to know anyone in Maine that would like one, please let me know before I fall in love with all of them!

I have no idea where that came from. This imposter, 'The Wag', just seems to appear from nowhere and drags my good name into the mud. The comment he/she made did come from a deep memory of mine, how he/she got it, again, I have no idea. It was a comment made by an old Master Chief to a lad sitting next to me at a control console during General Quarters, a good 40+ years ago. Comments like that from the mouths of sage old geezers like Master Chiefs do not go ignored.
When Angie's party gets going. I assure you, 'The Wag' will not be taking part if he/she knows what is best for him/her.

Orianne, I offer you another good laugh for the day. After reading your last post on my page about 'The Wag', I inadvertantly scrolled up half a page and saw you comment about the dog not liking André's accordion playing. The first time I read that, the question of how did you know André plays the accordion and when did the two of you have a chance to meet caused me to furrow my brow in wonderment. It wasn't till just very recently that it was disclosed by you that you have a roomie named André, not the André from England. Silly me!

Yes, my life companion for the past ten year is André and he is also the one who has had 38 radiation treatments for prostate cancer. The treatments ended Feb.12, the day after our 65th birthday...we also are born on the same day and the same year. André plays the guitar and the accordeon, well I do not think it is funny that you did not know about him...but André from England is someone that you probably know better than me. I had the chance to chat with her and a few others this morning and it was a lot of fun. How was your time at the meet...did you go? or did you phone them? I thought KS meant Kansas, if so aren't you a little far from Australia?
I am waiting for you to make me laugh again...

Hi Orianne - Thanks for the welcome and 'how to' on getting back to you and many thanks for the beautiful flowers. With the sun shining in today and the wonderful flowers, my kitchen looks lovely and bright. Come on over and we'll have a cupa with maybe a little something added... nice on a cold day.
