I love fresh Maple syrup. The last time I had some was when we were in Vermont. I guess your beginning to thaw out up there ... Eh!
Thanks for stopping by and Charlot looks like a real cutie. Tia Maria looks like a Maltese in the picture. Is she no longer with us?

oh, I do like your figure that Angie made you - wonderful. Thought I would drop in to say hi and talk about my model horses, which I never mind doing. I had a good time, I took about 30 horses, enough for a morning showing - I went lite this time. I did okay, I did get a 2nd place and several 7th and 10th placing, which is good in our area. This was our club's big show, it was a 2 1/2 day outing, but I just went for Saturday. I did the halter orginal finish stock horse, your models are judged on condtion and also collectability - some models are more rare then others, special runs and such. The custom (ones that are repainted) were doing thier performance classes, that is really neat - horses are tacked up with bridles/riders/saddles and put in a setting to mimic the performance - western or english, the costume classes are fun to see, alot of work goes into this set up. I enjoy visiting and seeing what other people have to show. We have mini shows each month - usually just a day show, but I havn't been to one as of yet. Well, enjoy your day, very wet here today. Mary

Hi Orianne, I want to thank you for your birthday greeting. I just joined, but have been enjoying this site for years. Actually, my birthday is November 4th. I'm not sure how Gath came up with April 10th, but it made for a very special day. The timing couldn't have been better. I guess even mistakes happen for a good reason. Again, thank you for your special birthday wish. Sudoku forever, Margot

Hi Orianne,
Just wanted to share the news that Mum has sold another painting. She is the only one who has sold other than on the opening weekend and they now have one of her paintings on an easel in the window. And they are her acrylic paintings rather than the oil I have a photo of on my page! She has priced that one pretty high as she's not sure if she really wants to sell it.

I'm a proud and pleased daughter!

Wow you're fast Orianne - and you TOPPed my page! Mum has been selling paintings at markets, along with handmade children's chairs and other stuff made of craftwood and painted, for years now. This is her first experience with a gallery and she is very excited. I have several of her paintings, and her craft, in my home. I love your paintings and I'm glad you keep some for yourself!

Hi Orianne, you mentioned on this morning's 'Tough' Sudoku that life has been tough for you this past year. At the risk of being accused of intruding into your privacy, may I ask why?
BTW, I love your watercolours, they are great.

Hello Orianne,
Thanks for the information on canola. That's what I was thinking, but didn't know that it began its' life as a plant (I am thinking a grain, right?). Either way the color is magnificant. Thanks also for taking the time to answer my question, greatly appreciated.

Take care and have a wonderful day,
Aimee :-)

After your statement about being outside for your morning coffee, I posted this:

Orianne,
How did you get to 10C? We were only 3C this morning and only 1C yesterday morning. I live in FLORIDA!
Something is amiss.

I hope the rest of your day was as nice as your morning!

Good morning!
The only thing I found offensive was our cold weather! We moved to Florida from Massachusetts where I taught for the last 21 years of my career. We've kept our house up there because my husband is still working April through September.
Your winter was more than enough! Because I am a member of the Weather Underground site (wundergound.com), I kept seeing/reading about all that was going on up your way, too. Brrr!
We are back to warm now. I am sooooo grateful! I didn't move 1,400 miles south for 34 degree weather!

If you'll contact Ed from Lithia (baysbestbev@tampabay.rr.com) he can give you my email address.

Hope it stays springlike for you!

Orianne, I really appreciate your kind thoughts and that you'll offer to say a prayer. I'm frightened beyond belief, but hubby and I are going to see someone at our local CNIB on Monday to gather information and see what support is available. Nothing could happen for years, but I have to steel myself that one day, I could have no central vision. I'm not angry, not bitter, just surprised because I've taken great care of myself and have never taken my eyes for granted. Luck of the draw, I guess. But, 'nuff said. How's your husband doing? You've been through quite a rough patch yourself, and it's so wonderful that people from far and near rally round to support on this site. They were tremendous when my mother died last fall and got me through with heaps of prayers and encouragement. Sending you much love.

Thank you for the warm welcome, Orianne, and also for your kind compliments on my paintings. I really like your watercolors too. I think my favorites are the strawberries, and the wolf on a mountain ledge. You are very talented. It's very nice meeting you! 4/18/08

Hi Orianne - saw your comment today on the jigsaws. Haven't seen you there for awhile hope all is well with you. You will soon be going to your trailer - do you take a laptop or have a computer there. It would be nice if you could stay in touch. If I don't hear from you, have a great summer. It seems as if its almost started here at Wasaga Beach the last couple of days - boy its been hot (and lovin it!)

Orianne, came to say hello after having seen your cute little avatar on today's easy jigsaw. I've made myself at home and visited all your photos. What a nice family -- and especially the four legged ones, my special favorite! Is that your artwork -- it's very good! Thanks for the lovely hospitality. I haven't done up much on my page yet, but "I'm a gonna!"

Hi Orianne, thanks for the encouraging words. I should be used to the weather here by now. I've lived here almost 11 years. Our house is 9 km up a mountain road at 3500 feet. I have pictures on my Flickr page taken in May 07 of the last snowfall of the year. I know that in a few weeks our weather will go from cool to quite hot without a gradual warming up. Good thing the lake is not too far away. Have a great day!

Hi Orianne I didn't know how the time and puzzle change time worked, so many thanks. I thought I once saw someone from the States say it was 8:00am and it had just changed... obviously not. Nice of you to let me know. Getting closer to Trailer time, you must be getting excited. I'm really loving this summer-like weather that we're having. Now that I finally have my taxes done and mailed, I've been able to get out to the garden and boy did it need some work (still does), but now I'll get to it. Went to a Maple Syrup Festival this past Sat. with good friends, good food (pancakes & syrup), and unbelievable weather (actually too hot)... did I say that!... We had a most enjoyable time and home just in time to change and go out to dinner and the theatre. The theatre being the local community centre - ah it was okay and you have to support the local folks right? Busy times, I love it up here, best move I ever made to the Beach. Well thanks again for the info. Kind regards.

Orianne, what a heck of a ride, huh? You've been an amazing support during my dismal days, and mercifully, all has turned out well, so I continue to believe in miracles. Had I not been squeezed in to see a retinal specialist, I could have gone for months living with that hellish knowledge. Once again, God has held me in the palm of His hand, and the kindness of friends from far and near keeps demonstrating to me how truly beautiful the world is, and the people in it. Bless you and I'll keep both you and hubby in my prayers.

so much Orianne for dropping by on my birthday. It is good to see you so settled on the site .... isn't it a great place to be?
I spent a big chunk of my birthday here and it was wonderful to do so without a guilty conscience about all the 'stuff' that needed doing.........
Ciao for now.

OK, you made me look. I hope I looked in the right place. Is you campsite on the lake or the river? It looks like a wonderful place to spend a summer except for the 'skeeters and possibly the black flies in the spring. The area doesn't look so remote you couldn't send a smoke signal once in a while.. Have a great time and don't go goosen' any snoozy moose.

Hi, it's Anew from Utah here. You left a post on my page, even though we don't know each other yet, I just wanted to say HI, and thanks :)

Because there are so many people onsite, I likely won't go back any time soon to everyones old pages or the archives, so I'll keep intouch from here on out, if you'd like :)
And maybe one day I'll get the umph to really, truly catch up!

take care,

Oh, Orianne! We will miss you sorely, but it must be a lovely way to spend the summer! Do your pets go with you? Will you do any painting? Won't be the same around here without you, but have a great summer! Leave a few fish for next season!
