An Irish Birthday Blessing:
May you live a long life full of gladness and health,
With a purse full of gold as the least of your wealth.
May the dreams you hold dearest, be those which come true,
The kindness you spread keep returning to you.

Nooo, we are selling the house, to downsize to a Smaller House.. with less rooms..
now that our boys both have left home, Peter and I decided that we do not need all the extra rooms that come with having a family.
Caravan is for Holidays.. the big one at the end of each year (when Peter has 4 weeks off from work), and for mini holidays - long weekends and the occasional normal weekend.
We do however plan to do a trip around Australia in the Caravan when Peter retires from work, in a few years time.

Sue, I made the quilt for TM's great-nephew, Holden. The next one is for his great niece Avery. Noah is a cutie. I see why you enjoy visiting him.

Hi Sue, When we made Lumpia, we were in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. No commissary for miles. The local markets didn't have anything that faintly resembled any kind of oriental "wrapper". The recipe Wanda had called for ground pork and beef. You should have seen the disbelief on the butchers face when she first asked for ground pork, then asked him to run the pork and beef through the machine together. (pretty easy way to blend the two.) She was and as far as I know is still a really good cook. When we (she is still there) lived in Hawaii, she picked up "island style" cooking, fast. Perhaps if we had stayed married, I'd have ended up rotund instead of long & lean...

Sue, I forgot to mention Soba. Yes I've had it, but so long ago, all I remember is the name. Pancit, form the Philippines is also very good.

Oh, Sue, yes hubby and I love this little town. Originally we came to visit Hearst castle in San Simeon. But we've gone back skipping the Hearst castle, just to walk around this little bay town. Usually we walk on Embarcadero St. but this time we included going the opposite way on Morro Bay St. Found a delightful place with a garden patio and great food with the ridiculous name Top Dog.

Hi Sue
I’m sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you but I have been in Adelaide on a Dog Judging Assignment. The other judges were great fun with three from the USA (Maryland), a married couple from New Zealand and a gay couple (male) from Holland. I was the token Australian. The dinners were hilarious and I put on 2 kilos.
Fortunately this week I have been very strict and have lost 1.8k in 4 days.
Anyway thank you so much for your birthday wishes. They were really very much appreciated. After many years of trying I’ve finally convinced the family not to waste money on cards and presents of things I don’t really want and put their money towards a plane ticket to visit the old folks more often.
At my age, I’m just glad to have the birthday without having all the hoo haa as well.
Again thanks for your best wishes.
Regards, David

Hi Sue,
Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question about the Osage nation.I, also live in an area where we have Native land. It's Mohawk here, and is called Kanesetake.
I love your photos, and it's fun doing jigsaws from them. Have a great day and Happy Hallowe'en.
