HI Sue, I'm an irregular visitor to the site these days but dropped in today to find an old photo of mine...so I went through the archives and one day last week you saw a picture of a rusted old bridge and wondered where it was. I took that photo a few years ago out in the middle of Arnhem land (NT Australia) on a back road about 20 kms out of Maningrida. You can check out Maningrida on Google Maps if you like.

PS - Just read back a couple of posts and see that you had a birthday a week or so ago.... Happy Birthday.

Sue, I'm just back from sailing the Adriatic/Mediterranean on the Royal Clipper--forgive me not being able to reply earlier but on-line connections on the ship weren't great. Thank you so much for the kind birthday wishes! How thoughtful. We celebrated both our birthdays plus our 30th anniversary on board, so it was pretty special, made that much more so by receiving kind wishes from you!

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. Mrs S and I have been away for a fortnight in the sun on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. We try and do that each year to get a break from the Tasmanian winter which actually hasn’t been too bad this year.
The weather was wonderful with no rain and maximums of about 25C (78F) each day. We also visited friends and generally had a great time.
Sorry, I did not respond earlier but I did not get any alerts that I had received messages but I really appreciate your message.

Thanks Sue. The tumour appears to have shrunk slightly. Given that Shikia has grown this is fair news. They are still monitoring it but not as often as they used to.
