Hi, Sue! I had hoped to contact you when I was out West, but there was no time. I was there for six days but didn't actually stay in OK. I was in a motel in Van Buren, Arkansas and drove across the border to my niece's home during the day. Their farm is in the boonies, about 10 miles from the Arkansas border. Plus, I was there to spend time with her family. As you may know, my niece's five-year-old son was severely burned in a gas explosion in January, and after several months at Shriners Hospital in Galveston, he came home a couple months ago - but he and his family go back to Galveston for a few days every month. His facial surgery will continue throughout his childhood since, unfortunately, grafts don't grow with the rest of the body. In any case, he is doing remarkably well, and I had a wonderful time with him (and his other siblings - 5 of them!) If I get out there again, hopefully, I can build more time into the trip so I can get to see you.

Jane, I am glad to hear your Great nephew is getting the care he needs even though it is so far away. It is so odd you mentioned Van Buren Arkansas, we went there today on the train. My niece has just moved to Bella Vista Arkansas last month. We were on holiday when they moved so decided this weekend would be a good time to visit. It is about a 3 hour drive for us.

I know what you mean about being busy, Sue. My life seems to be spinning out of control lately! I've taken several short trips (requiring lots of driving, however), and a week from today I leave for south Florida for a month! How are you enjoying your new home? Sorry we didn't connect in Van Buren. That would have been fun! My sister (who flew in from DC) and I spent most of our time in the motel swimming pool when we weren't visiting my niece and her family in OK. Maybe next time I get out that way, I can spend a little more time so we can get together. Hope you guys are doing well. Cheers! Jane

Not having a job does not equate to not working - I have done both & raised a bunch of kids, my own and other peoples (foster babies). Now I am retired to Oaxaca de Juarez in Mexico and I sure miss those kids. I tried volunteering in the children's home but had a chronic cold and finally my doctor said 'No more babies!'

Thanks Sue for the birthday wishes. I'll be celebrating in style with a frozen TV Dinner as Mrs. S is gallivanting around England.
Home Alone sounds like a good name for a movie.

Thanks for the statue information. I was glad to see that it was early in the last century that it was made. Some people at that time may have still remembered the role of the pioneer woman first hand.

Thank you, Sue, for taking the time to explain the story of the wild horses. I'm just glad that they are in a good place.
While I'm here I want to congratulate you for your wonderful photography. All my favourite things, flowers, butterflies, and birds are featured on your page. Such fun and so interesting to view them all.

Hi Sue!
Don't know if you saw this on the Easy page - if you have I'm sorry for repeating it!
This is copy & paste message about the Sudoku Easy Jigsaw Problems:
They went wild after one of Gath's changes. If you go back in the beginning (15th May 2005) & check the photos in the archives you'll find that the only jigsaw is the torso in the black jumper with the white coffee cup, you'll find that photo as the jigsaw on every Easy Sudoku page up till the 12th of January this year. I did comment on this earlier this year, but I'm usually commenting when no one's around!!!
I'd say the photos we're getting are the ones from the Easy pages that don't have a home any more! And the off sized ones are possibly the very early reward photos for finishing the Sudoku!
So I think we just have to accept that the Easy Sudoku jigsaw is going to too big or very small, more frequently than being a good size!!

Hello Sue - I'm glad you enjoyed the movie.
I saw one on the plane to Hong Kong called Quartet, and that was really good, too. Only for the oldies though; it has Billy Connolly in (although I don't usually like him he was good in this), Maggie Smith and Tom Courtney.(I cut and pasted this from easy in case you didn't go back and see it there)

Hi, Sue-
I've never commented directly to you, but today I saw your Cancer/Crab avatar and I had to share I am a crabby girl, too! I see your birth day is the 17th - mine is the 6th of July.
I didn't have internet this July so I hope this late message brightens your non-birthday!

p.s. love your photos!

Hi Sue, thanks for your visit to my page. I guess it's because of the old rock and roll song but Route 66 definitely brings back nostalgia and I know of several Aussies who hope to drive it one day. The Scottish comedian 'Billy Connolly' drove it on his motor bike and stopped off at quaint attractions along the way. Yeah, it would be nice to do that some day.
