Hoped to find you home and enjoying the beauty of your weather thus far....lol.
Had to stop by and send you greetings for the season and hope all is well in your home. 2013 brought many health challenges my way, but all seems to be going in the right direction now...hope that remains true for you and yours.
Wishing a warm Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Peace.

Sue - thanks for the greetings! We drove about 2200 miles over the break, but it was WONDERFUL!! We had Christmas in Taos with most of the kids, and then went through Fort Davis in the way home to spend a couple of days with my mother.
Now it is back to work.
Happy New Year to both of you.

Hi Sue..
Seasons greetings and all that... thank you for taking the time to spread the cheer. Life has been a bit out of kilter for me over the last few years... births, deaths and marriages have distracted me from one of the finer pleasures in life.. spending more time on our own sudoku site. If it wasn't for Facebook I would have no idea of what most people are doing. Really looking forward to Jane & Kathy's arrival in a couple of months.. hasn't that time gone quickly!
I hope 2014 is a wonderful year for you.

Hey Sue...I have been singing your praises and enjoying the beauty you helped add to my garden since my beautiful Irises have been in bloom. I've been meaning to drop by and say thanks over and over but needed an extra push. Hope all is well with your family and give Harry my love. Take care and know that I care...even when I fail to show up on these pages.

Sue, I do hope they can find out the problem with your shoulder. You have my sympathy as I have two crook shoulders. Hopefully you can then have a cortisone injection and it works wonders (Mine has only given partial relief). Not much fun getting older.

Hi Sue, I read your post today about having shoulder surgery next week and wanted to share with you my husband's current experience. He had rotator cuff surgery, it will be 2 weeks this Thursday. His muscle damage was pretty substantial per the surgeon, with repairs needed to 3 of the 4 shoulder muscles. We kept him on his pain med until it was gone and now onto 800 MGs of tylenol as needed and he is doing pretty great all things considered! The worst part for him is keeping the cradle on day/night, not being able to take a shower for the first week, (for me) the first time you change the bandaids, and not being able to drive. And he has found it easier to sleep on a recliner - not having we had to go out and rent. But he says he is not in pain, just achy and discomfort every so often and after his PT and we are settling in our new routine now, going to PT every other day, showering every other day, going to the gym to keep him moving and getting him out of the house on little trips to the store etc. so he doesn't go stir crazy. Luckily for him it was his left shoulder and he is right handed so he still helps out around the house as much as he can. Anyway, I guess what I am trying to say in my roundabout way is that we had heard it was pretty painful and awful, but we are working through it and I am wishing you the best.

Sue, the very best of wishes for your surgery tomorrow. I know it will be hard for awhile but just think how good it will be when you have your shoulder back as it should be.

Hi Sue,
Hubby also had the that surgery a few years ago. His experience was pretty much what Aimee mentioned in her post above. Especially the part about the sling being so uncomfortable. He also slept better in his recliner than in bed. It was his right shoulder and he is right handed so he was forced to use the mouse with his left hand. He got so used to it, he is still using his left hand to this day. See? You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!
The recovery is a pain (literally!), but you will feel so much better eventually. Just take it slow and easy, and pop those pills!

Sue - I've always heard that rotator cuff injuries are not fun. Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery. Don't quit the 'happy pills' too early.
