I was considering going, but taking off work almost requires an act of Congress. If I had planned to go, I was going to see if you wanted to go. Also, Soren's birthday is in October, and I felt that I should go see him. Tom and I will go when he gets done with fall planting and harvesting.

Sue, I have no idea what GIGGLE girls is/are...maybe friends of Jane's? Yes, a whole month. I was thinking of trying to hit Philly (and meet Ouima, too), but like I said, saving my time off to see Soren (and Bergen and Sean and Ashley). Maybe someday, I can take a weekend and come visit you. I'm getting ready to head to Raymond (south of Lyons...Great Bend). Fall harvest/planting time means it is easier for me to travel, and we get to see more of each other.

Many thanks for your kind Birthday Greetings.
Sorry I'm not a very regular contributor these days.
But I love to have a quick look at the site at least once a week.

Thank you for your note, Sue. I had read about Harry's health problem and various doctors appointments, so I'm not surprised you have 36 inch doorways. But I didn't realize your home is about the same age as mine. That explains needing the new sliders and possibly the windows. I had 2 of mine fixed this fall and need to get the double pane glass replaced in 1 next year, but a paint job fixed the rest of them. I don't have any sliders, but they've always been problematic in rentals. I hope you and Harry are both doing ok. I'm not ready for this colder weather! But the leaves were beautiful this year.

Hi Sue, overproof rum is a rum with a higher percentage of alcohol per volume. Strong and dark!
The cough is slowly going. The humid weather does not help. Have a nice Christmas season.

Thanks, Sue, for the Christmas greeting. This year I've had an unusually difficult time getting in the mood. No cards sent, yet. No letter even started...

Merry Christmas to you and the MR. Best wishes for the New Year...

Hi Sue, I hope your Christmas day is starting well. A bit of a co-incidence - I'm reading the latest Michael Connelly book (I got it from my lovely wife for Christmas) and some of the action's in Oklahoma (Tulsa to be precise.)

Hi Sue, thanks for that conversion site. I've bookmarked it, because I do convert a lot. My approximation formula was good when I was travelling with Jane, because it gave a good ball park figure when we didn't have access to the Internet.

Sue, thanks for the Birthday wishes! I spent most of the day at the pottery studio, my happy place. Then went home when it started to snow again. Your mug should arrive today. It is insured, so if it is not I good shape let me know.
