Glad you liked my Easter funny. When I recieved some Easter greetings pics in an email, I really laughed at this one because a colleague had just shared that her 4 yr old son was horrified at the thought of dyeing eggs. This must be what he was thinking. LOL She said she quickly reassured him that they meant coloring them, not killing them! LOL

Anne, Our two trips up through Machu Picchu were scheduled in the late afternoon & early morning to avoid the larger crowds midday. We felt that we very lucky with the weather since March is still in the rainy season there, but we had only one short spell of rain right before we got on the train back. Rob actually liked the views best in the early morning cloud cover, as in that one photo in particular. It's such a magical feeling being so high up there in the clouds. We did not go to Arequipa.

Anne, for the welcome. I have been a seldom poster / lurker for over a year now. Life in general has kept me from being a SM, decided the time was now or never to join.
Thanks for the gift.

I appreciate the Easter Greetings and wish the same for you and your family although they are a bit belated with the time difference. Since I have never posted, I was pleasantly surprised with your visit and gift of flowers. I have been a SM for nearly a year but feel I need to be current on the comments before jumping in---always seem to be trying to catch up. Although you are all unaware of it, I consider you my friends. I want you to know I love this web site and it has helped me in getting through a particularly bad patch in my life. Thanks again.

Anne, Willie wrote the song, but Patsy is my favorite singer(of Crazy)! I found out years after I was a fan that we share a birthday. I, too, am enjoying the youtube. My selections will definitely have a Country slant.

Anne, before Willie made it big as a singer, he was a songwriter in Nashville. I double checked, he wrote Crazy in 1961 for Patsy. He also wrote ''Pretty Paper'' for Roy Orbison and ''Hello, Walls'' for Faron Young. And I admit, I cheated. I knew he wrote the songs, I didn't know for who (except Crazy) or what year. I googled him and checked on Wikipedia. The official Willie Nelson website is also interesting. I was pregnant with son #1 at my first (and sober) Willie concert. That led to a hilarious moment years later when we are tailgating before another Willie concert at Red Rocks. We were chatting with other unsober people about how many Willie concerts we had been to. I told one young may that Sean's first Willie concert was while he was in utero. The poor young man innocently asked ''Where's utero?''

Hi Anne!
Thanks for dropping by on Sunday with your Easter wishes. We have had 'Dad' home for the whole weekend so it has been really lovely. Back up to Hong Kong with him again next weekend for another week of family unity - hurray! Hope your Easter has been just as pleasant - your grandson looks very cute!
Take care, and thanks again for calling by.

Thanks for the bottle of wine Anne.
I'll bring some 'smelly' cheese and bikkies to have with the wine, and we can celebrate that I finally got my act together and became a SM.

Hi Anne, Do you have any idea why I don't see any postings for today, Thursday? Also, when I tried to post a comment, nothing showed up. I'm hoping you are up and on tonight so I can get some kind of answer.

Hello, Anne - thanks for your visit. I haven't been around for a while, as we escaped the summer heat by taking an extended holiday in Tasmania - along with hordes of other mainlanders with the same idea. It's such a beautiful place that I'd have stayed there - if it wasn't for the family ties here in Bendigo.
We continue to experience very dry conditions, although the weather at this time is glorious. We figure if it's not going to rain, we may as well enjoy the beautiful autumn days. Bendigo has a big fair over the Easter period, with a parade on Monday, including a very strong Chinese contingent with many sea lions and six dragons. The most spectacular is Sun Loong, who is over 150m. long. The fair began in 1870 and the Chinese connection is due to Bendigo's beginnings as a gold town. Needless to say, we usually have a house full of visitors at this time, so we're now recovering from the onslaught!

LYNDEE from WA, USA - thank you for your vote of confidence in knowing that I may be able to help yesterday. It was actually afternoon here and I had logged into my internet at work and read the e'mail that is automatically projected when you comment on my page, but I had no way of making contact with you so wasn't much help.
Visit me again sometime and we'll share a glass of wine.
Cheers, Anne

Hi Anne, Thank you for responding to my note to you. I can finally see comments on the main sudoku page. Last Thurs., every time I posted a comment, my computer seemed to erase all comments on that particular page. As soon as I posted on your site, all the postings on your site also went blank on my computer screen. I don't understand why, but today I can finally see postings, although this is my first ability try since last Thur. Now, as I look back at previous days, they all are up as if nothing happened. Well, I wanted to say thank you since today, I can now see that that you did indeed receive my posting before. I will post now and I hope my screen works....LynnDee

Hello LynnDee - Thanks for your visit.
Gath had big problems all over the weekend and is still continuing to have them, although I think the problem may finally be fixed. It must have been very frustrating for him with so many visitors to his site. It wasn't just on your Thurs/our Friday.
Thank you for commenting on my sunrise photo.

Hey Anne
The Carpenters' song was on the Radio when the alarm went off yesterday morning. Thought it was an appropriate song as Sudokuland is into reminiscing with Songs/Bands/Singers of the past.
New song on my page....The Seekers....my all time favourite band.

Hi Anne
yes thought it might be a little hard seeing Jonathons pic come up when it is not long since they have moved. I guess it is better these days with communications much easier to still share time with them. you will have to get a webcam and them too and then can see him also.
cheers and keep saving those pennies so you can visit them.

that sounds wonderful that you will be able to share webcam with them all and at least get to see them and hear them across the miles.
Just love Il Divo and listen to them often, very relaxing and helps destress at times.

Anne, what a riot, ... and I was picturing you in a smock with a little barret jauntilly off to one side doing the final touches on your still life. Oh well, the lawn was probably better exercise. Absolutely stunning sunrise, by the way.

Hello Eugene - thank you very much for visiting my page and do visit again sometime. I'm glad you like my sunrise photo. I'm sure you must have lovely sunrises and sunsets also in Lithuania. I have never visited your country but I was interested in travelling on the Trans-Siberian Railway but decided not to as it would mean sitting in the train far too much and it costs a lot of money.
Cheers,
Anne

Hi Anne,

Thanks for dropping by the other day. Your sunrise picture is beautiful. I realize my picture is a bit large. (It is a big country out there though) I can fit it all on my screen at 1280x1024 but I imagine for many there must be some overflow. I have tried to trim them down and have had limited success for some reason. When I shrink the size and or reduce the pixels, it seems to not make any difference until I cross some threshold where it comes up looking like a postage stamp. Not sure what that’s about. Maybe I have to consult with Gath on that. I have had no trouble submitting pictures for the puzzle pages. Anyway, for now I have given up and just let it fall where it lands. Maybe on the next one, I can try again.
