He's still very weak and quiet but still that sense of humor comes out, My son is now home from college and was able to visit grandpa. I do believe I'm ready for Christmas - my Fontanini village is up and the people are "busy" doing their jobs - the North Pole village is having lighting issues today - but everyone is doing their jobs there also. The wind is pounding the house this morning and snow is in the air - so looking to be a White Christmas now. Take care and enjoy yourself, Mary

Gday Dorthea, I just thought I'd pop in now that the dust has settled and the last of the wrapping paper dealt with! I hope your Chrissy was as enjoyable as ours. I am pleased you coped with the stairs, I bet that was a relief to you.
Having a very relaxing couple of weeks, hubby is on annual leave and school is out for summer so every day feels like a Saturday. No alarm clocks!

Dorthea - After you check your flicker codes, be sure you hit the update button at the bottom. That is why it reverted to the previous video. The check flicker codes - does not have to be done - though I would recommend doing it - to be sure you have the right one. But you must hit the UPDATE button at the bottom to actually update your page with the video.

Dorthea - Updating your You-tube:

On You-tube - fine the one you want to post. On the right side of the Tube there is an embed code.

Copy embed code.

Go to your update page and paste the embed code in the appropriate place.

Then click on "check flicker and You-tube codes". You should get a message and see that the You-tube has changed.

Now for the important part. At bottom of page - there is a "Update Page" button - click on this button. A message should appear.

Now go to your page and see if the new You-tube is there.

In regard to my message that I sent you with my email address in it. The reason it didn't post in here was because I sent it Via Personal Messages. If you have a look at the top of the page under your name there is a blue statment saying "send Dorthea a private message". This is what I used.We all have one. Now if you also have a look on the top right hand corner, there is an Inbox. It is there that you can check to see your private messages. This is basically a private email service Gath provided for us.
I have deleted your post on my page, as I didn't want to leave your email address up there for all to see.

Dorthea, I enjoyed going through your gallery! Great grandson! Golly I hope I will be able to see my great grandies. Starting off so late that I finally have a grandson. Just trying to keep up with that one is a ball. I can hardly wait for more! But with one son at 35 and the other one at 22. Well I guess I'll have to wait.

Dorthea, when you try typing it in, do you get a question "Have you forgotten your password?". Click on that and it sends an automatic email to Gath and within a short time, you should get an email back telling you your password....At least that's what I did when I forgot mine!

Saw your question about
SPELL CHECK, with red line. . .

the way mine works is, put cursor over the word. RIGHT click it. ( click with the right button on mouse) A box drops down, with the correct spelling or might have a list of words . find the one you meant, regular click on it and that word replaces the incorrect and returns your cursor to that position.

Move to next and repeat. I wait till i get all my message finished and then correct one at a time.

Dorthea, would you like me to send you a couple of correct size avatars for you to mail in? Tell me what you would be interested in and i can make you a couple some time this week. Something musical? Or the USA with a dot where you live? A big D since your name is longer than i cold fit in a box? I have done so for Gail and Rolanda and Eve and Lynda and I cannot tell you how many to get them started.

Have you and yur daughter looked in forums, something abut member information? I put up some directions there and so did Angie. I wold need your e-mail address, if i do not already have it. You can send it via the " send a private message" feature from top of my page. noone but me would see your e-mail that way.

Hi Dorthea, Glad you dropped in to check out my you tube.Thanks for the visit. You didn't remember who made up the Modern Jazz Quartet so I thought I'd tell you who they were and if you wanted to recheck later, the video will be up for awhile longer.
The members are Milt Jackson playing vibraphone, Percy Heath on bass, John Lewis on piano and Conie Kay on drums.... they really had a great sound...hoped you enjoyed them.

Oh, Also enjoyed browsing through your picture gallery..it must be fun with twin grands...twice as much to love. Your video was great too. Do come back for another visit sometimes....too bad I didn't have your phone number when I was there for my great grands birth earlier this month...perhaps we could have had a meet up...maybe next time. Hi again Dorthea, The pianist I think you were speaking about may have been Teddy Wilson. I know he played a jazz piano around that period. Perhaps that was another group known as a modern jazz quartet, but the one I was referring to in my video was a group started a little later than the 40's....it may have been an offshoot of the one you are thinking about. It sounds as if you have been listening to good music for a longtime and have many memories, even though you can't always come up with a name right away. It sometimes gets me down when I know something,yet can't remember it well enough to make myself clearly understood. As soon as a name or a location is mentioned, it helps clear it up and all the good memories comeback to me. I was glad to read on easy that you were feeling better, and are ready to go shopping now, after a visit with you doctor. Hope you continue to feel better and will visit again. I'm always glad to have visitors. Peace.

Enjoyed your You Tube, Dorthea. My father was a boy soprano & still enjoys singing. My mother is tone deaf & doesn't really enjoy music, but I grew up with a lot of classical music played on records by my father!
