The quilts are beautiful....I do envy the finished products, appreciate all of the work detail, but I just wouldn't have the patience that the work calls for. Super job!

Hi MizT! I haven't been here for quite awhile, so thought I'd stop by for a visit.
What a display of beautiful quilts! Do you ever sell at craft shows? I'm sure they would be very popular.
Have a great day
I'll just grab a peach before I go....

Hi MizTricia. You have done some beautiful art with your quilts, and I'm sure they are very time consuming. Thanks for showing them on your site. I like all of them!

Well, I just knew all that bumping, scraping and dragging was you trying to get your recliner through the door! So glad you were comfy during your visit
About quilt prices...We have an Amish market nearby. They sell quilts in a shop next door. I have never seen even a small quilt there for less than $500. Most quite a bit more. For my Mom's 80th birthday we bought her a quilt and pillow shams to the tune of $900! Before you think I am exceptionally generous, the whole family chipped in! This was 12 years ago, I shudder to think what it would cost now. I have several quilts that my Grandmother made. My Mom always kept them stored away, but I have them on the beds where I can see and enjoy them every day. (not nearly as pretty and unusual as yours, though!)

I would like to learn how to make an avatar and load photos. I gather I have to have a google or flicker accout to do this.

At this time, I would prefer not to give out my email address where it can be read by the general public. If there is a way that it can be given and then immediately deleted or better yet approval through Gath or site administrator to give an email address to a specific user, I will be glad to do so.

I may wait till Dave gets back to Oregon and talk with him. We have a common friend here that can introduce us.

MizT Have just been looking at your photos. The quilts are really lovely (makes me want to get the small one I started years ago out again) The Domes that Al makes are unusual but look so nice, what are they faced with when finished?

MizT, you can use Dipel Dust, which you can buy at most nurseries. Use Bt if you don't want to use an insecticide. You might be able to find it at a nursery or your local farmer's co-op. Hope this helps.

Hi MizT! Love the pictures of the quilts. The one with the ragged edges is cool. I like the way you mixed the texture. I hope you're having a good day! Here are some flowers to brighten it! Talk to you later! Take care!

As you can see, there is a direct corolation between what you sent me and what I am using for an Avatar. So I didn't play around too much - but got a little experience and probably a lot more questions to ask, on why the file size varied on 2 similar avatars coming converting out of paint.

I am a volunteer at Britt Festivals - about 30 concerts a season & occasionally help in the office. Makes for a wonderful summer filled with music - all kinds (3 weeks of August is Classical - roots of the festival 45 years ago). Festival now runs 3+ months (June-Sept) and pretty much encompasses most muscial genere & dance. We may have over a 100 volunteers working a concert. Concert selection is based on hours worked the previous year. We have about 600 volunteers working thousands of hours each season.

Hi MizT! I keep missing you on SA so I wanted to stop by and see how you are doing. I'm still unpacking and unwinding from my vacation while trying to get in gear to get the 3 kids ready to go away to school. We have a conflict with S#2's first day of school (they're starting a day early) and getting D#2 to boarding school on the same day. There's always something! Well, I hope you are having a great day and staying out of the heat. Here are some flowers that won't wilt to help brighten your day. Take care!

Hi, MizTricia! I hope you're keeping cool! I seem to keep missing you on the SA pages. (Well, I was away from the computer for a week, so that explains part of it.) It also seems that my timing isn't very great. I hope you are well and able to stay cool, and I hope to 'see' you soon!

Hi Miz Tricia, yesterday I got african-spam asking for money etc etc, reported it to Gath. It came "innocently" in my email inbox as New Message Posted, so thought it was legit when I opened it.
I LOVE YOUR QUILTS! My first visit to your page, I didn't realize you are one of the sudoku quilters. I think that's the nicest 'heart quilt' I've ever seen. And the orient sunbonnet sue is brilliant!! My weekly quilt group meets tomorrow night and I'd like to show them your work. I must get around to photographing mine. I must get around to FINISHING mine!! So many UFOs...

Hi, MizTricia! If you get the information about thinking your hands warm to help a migraine headache typed up to send to Stella, would you please send it my way as well? I get migraine headaches, and my dughter gets them worse and more often. I will pass the information to her, as well. Thank you so much!

Hi MizT! I am back online with my new knee and a good supply of painkillers. Merlin is happy to be back home and chasing the rabbits off the garden. Today's big project will be to see if I can get down the track to the beach so he can chase the seagulls and I can breathe in the ozone. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Hi, MizTricia! I haven't been able to spend much time at SA3 lately, and the next 2 weeks will be away from a computer. As I suffer my withdrawal symptoms, I'll be thinking of you and all the other SA regulars. I hope you'll be able to stay a bit cooler. Just think, it will "almost" be fall by the time I can post again. Take care, and I hope to "see" you again soon!

Hi MizTricia. Fun to go back in time isn't it. You were lucky to be driven to school. I always walked daily, right through high school. Now high school kids drive cars there. The world has changed.

Hello, the Stack and Whack design evolved from a problem. I didn't do the stacking and when I began putting the pieces together, two of them in most of the stacks were not in line. So, I just left those two out and fit the 3/4 blocks around the full one. I think the look worked out well. The green is actually in a tiny place in the print. The quarter inch border is a trick: fold a one inch piece in half and sew it into the seam. It is great to use when you want to change direction of a fabric. The smaller triangles in the border are just the goofed up pieces cut in half! Originally 12 blocks were cut, but I only assembled 5! The whole thing is about 46 x 38 inches and was made for a display in the fabric store where I shop and take classes.

You would like my beach. The sand is not quite white, but very fine. I am at the head of a large bay with one arm formed by Wilson's Promontory and the other by Cape Liptrap. At this time of the year I usually have the beach to myself. At low tide there can be 100-150 metres from dunes to the waves which is mostly hard sand with the seagulls puddling in the wet to find food. Idyllic!

Hi MizT, just read your questions on the SA page, thought I would answer here. I have just been playing the puzzles while having lunch and after this it will be back to essay writing. I am really enjoying being back in the hospital, it is 15 years, and I suppose that is enough of a break to start enjoying it again. It has changed quite a lot (equipment, technology and lots of new medications), but the general nursing care is still the same so I am gradually getting the feel for it again. I miss not being able to come here so regularly, but I still occassionally play the puzzles and check out a little of the gossip on the SA page. Hope to catch up with you soon at SA

Just dropped by to see all your wonderful quilting. Then realised I had not visited your page before. I enjoy sewing and a lot of different craft work but I have not done any quilting.
My pink camelia has been flowering for months so I have left you a couple of blooms.
Must look up Stone Mountain. My husband and son (at different times) have both been to Georgia Southern University in Statesboro (for baseball coaching) but I have not visited that, or your, area of US at all.

Hi, MizTricia! I seem to miss you on the SA3 pages most of the time, so thought I would stop by here again to say Hello! I'm glad you and Al were able to celebrate his birthday, and he was able to give you input on the correct birthday gift! It sounds like a great idea to have a dorm-sized refrigerator out in his office!
I hope you're having - or will have tomorrow - as beautiful a day as we have now in IL! Hope to "see" you soon!

Hi MizTricia, I see you quilt also, you have some beautiful quilts. I stopped by Chalkboards earlier and saw her collection. I embroidered a couple of quilt tops and pieced them but that is as far as I could do. I finally had a woman finish them for me. I also had two quilt tops my Mom had made so had them finished also. Gave one of these to my daughter when she married last year.
