Hello! It's your birthday and again I send verse
I'm just sorry each year they seem to get worse.

You know you're getting older when you clutch the rail of the stairs
But as long as you go up and down, who really cares?
Yes, little aches and pains may appear
and things aren't where they used to be, even from the rear
Worry not, my friend, aging can be fun
You'll just jiggle a little more when you run
When things start to shrivel, when they start to wear down, don't worry about it
Don't you dare frown
Remember you've got lots of great days ahead
It may just take longer to get out of bed

Apologies in advance.

Ray!
And many, many more!

Hi there, Rayray, just picked up your post to my page. Sorry to hear that you have had health problems, and I trust that things are now much improved.
I am a very keen garden enthusiast, with a very big patch of weeds still to be overcome. I grub them out by hand (mostly), then lay down 10 sheets of dampened newspaper, before spreading a fairly fine eucalyptus mulch. It is effective and greatly reduces weed growth, however it does eventually break down and have to be topped up.
I grow conifers,camellias,azaleas,5 different type of Iris, many different bulbs, maples, day lilies and various seasonal annuals; so there is a fair bit of work to be done to keep them happy.Unfortunately, I have had to forego the regular daily ''sudoku fix''until things settle down a bit.
Cheers for now

Good to hear from you today, so that I can send my good wishes for the best possible outcome of your upcoming surgery. Please do tell us the nature of your 28-year project! What sort of project is it?

Wonderful, again, to hear from you. I was hoping you might show up on Easy on Serena's declared lurker day, 24 December. Please do let us all know what you are doing, even before you figure out how to do it, after so many years!

Another year and here I am
My sympathy in advance
You dear, poor man
Ahem....

Another candle on your cake?
That's no reason to pout
Just be glad you still have the strength
To blow the stupid thing out!
Okay, you might be getting slightly wrinkled
But, the best part, it is true
All your friends in Sudokuland are getting older too!

Enjoy your 365 day trip around the Sun, Ray!

Rayray, thank you sooooo much for the wonderful wishes! Would you believe this year is the first that I have started reading fantasy novels about witches? Can't believe the vast number of them! That and ones on kitchen science written by chemists, physicists, and nutritionalists! My favorite is Robert Wolke, a professor emeritus of chemistry at Univ. Pittsburgh. His take on the science of cooking is a hoot!
