Stlparrotthead, I'm over near Chicago - and waiting for the cooler weather to come this week - quite warm this weekend. Had some Oktoberfest this past weekend - go dropping off all the fall treats - caramel apples, apple cider, brats, beer and music. Enjoy your day, Mary

Welcome to sudoluland! there is a lot to do here besides puzzles. find or share a recipe, work the jigsaws, meet some fine people from across the world.

I am hiding down here in the South East USA, in a rural area with cattle and peaches and lots of wide open spaces, where it is more like summer than October. Forecast is for cooler weather by the weekend, we shall see. Come and tell us about Missouri, would love to hear about your little corner of the globe.

I was once a St. Louis Jimmy Buffet fan.... till the lure of Warm December Breezes made me change my latitude and attitude. Now I dream of the ocean from Palm Beach County, where both Jimmy Buffett lives and the Redbirds have spring training. Well gotta get going, I smell those shrimp beginnin to boil..... I will leave a pitcher of Margaritas and that might give you a reason to stay here all season :)

Hi! Me again! We went to Mazatlan about 10 years ago and had a great time! (North of Porta Vallarta.) It was fun to go down to "old" Mazatlan and see how they really live. It was probably one of the best vacations we ever had. It was so beautiful there and the food was great! We were there for Carnival. (Like a Mardi Gras celebration before Lent.) It was fun. There were over 100 floats in the parade. Great memories!

I enjoyed your pictures on the virtual tourist site. Thank you for sharing them!

Hi and Welcome to stlparrothead! I finally have a minute to pop in to say hello, bring some flowers and a big box of Frango Mints. If you are truly in St. Louis, you may have heard of them. Enjoy all the site has to offer, especially friendly "neighbors"! We're glad to have you here and posting, as well!

Parrothead, what kind of boat do you have? I love boats and any body of water larger than a mud puddle, but unfortunately my husband does not share that interest. My father kept a ski boat, and I loved waterskiing as a teen and young adult. Mom retired to the lake many years ago and she had a pontoon boat, I would love to go down for a sunset cruise in the spring and fall.

I have been near St Lewis once, a few years ago, but it was winter and very cold and I was nowhere the river or any lakes.

Like your new avatar! But I don't think I'll show you a picture of our boat after seeing your's!! Our's is referred to by our river friends as the "River Ute" because of all the stuff it's taken in & out of our little cottage - beds, couches, kitchen, building supplies, bags of concrete! We were putting it in the water at the boat ramp (an earlier version) a couple of years ago when this fisherman walked by. He stopped & came back & said disbelievingly you've got a stove in there!

Hi stlparrotthead, Have been gone a lot lately so I missed your joining Sudoku. Actually I was in STL about the time you joined. Great city what little I got to see of it. Went to a Cardinals game, it was very hot, at least they won. First time to go up in the Arch, the view was amazing. Have a good day.
