Mariana & a belated , too. Took a look at your gallery & left some comments on a few of your wonderful pics. I remembered that you mentioned the Galapagos Islands in your around the world dream itinerary. (At least I think it was you??) It's a place I had always wanted to see, too, & we finally got to go there last year. There are four pages of photos on my Flickr page if you ever want to take a look. They run from Page 16 to Page 13 (order on the pages is in reverse of when they were taken). The sea lions were my favorite animals there. Couldn't believe we could get so close! I hope you'll have a chance to go there someday, too.

Hi, Mariana! Oops, it looks like I missed your birthday, as well as your arrival. Sorry about that.

Nope, I'm not new, but really quite old. The problem is that WAY too much life has interfered - basically since about April, and for sure, this summer. Maybe October will get better.

Hi, Mariana, and thanks so much for your travel tips on Fiji. I don't know of too many people who've been there so your comments were really helpful. Do you remember the name of your hotel on Taviuni? I understand Fiji is quite expensive, so we'll probably only stay about three nights ... anyway, we're planning this trip for next year but I'm the type that likes to be super organized. (By the way, did you come across any reptiles? I'm not a fan.) By the way, we were in Utah last June and absolutely loved it. What a beautiful place!

Oh Mariana! I went through the "building thing" about 25 years ago. I know what it is like. At that time I had a 4 year old, 2 year old and a year into the project I had another one! I have always said I could write a book, but it would be published under fiction because no one would believe it! Hang in there. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Dear Mariana,
I sympathize! I miss my dear beautiful wife. I have been here a month. I will come back to the states for brief visits two or three times, but I will be working here for a full year. I do love it here, but I will go nuts when my my wife arrives in 18 days for a visit - all too brief.

Thank you for sharing your advise to your son on leaving the nest for college years, my oldest daughter is starting her second semester, she thought she was ready to go, but is finding out differently! They are so grown up on the outside, I guess the inside just needs to do some catching up!

Thanks heaps for the lovely birthday wishes,I had a fabulous day with the residents at the aged care facility throwing me a very nice afternoon tea and then coming home to my sil cooking a nice roast beef.
Lots of cake, wine, and then to come home to lots of messages from my sudoku buddies.

Thanks Mariana, hubby was away on business in europe, so yeh I missed him terribly the son in law said I was carrying on like a 16 year old when he was due home what can I say that after 27 years I still think I am 19, only with a few more aches and pains etc, main thing thank God is he is home now, when is your hubby due back, you have a beautiful family by the way

Mariana, thank you for the birthday greetings! Where in Utah do you live? I am in the very corner in Vernal. Yes, I should post more often, but I have 5 grandchildren living with me who are homeschooled, and another 11 who like me to visit them frequently so life gets very busy. Plus I was in the hospital with pneumonia this summer and am still struggling to catch up with all my plans. Most days I check the site, do the hard puzzle, take a look at all the photos, read some comments, and think I might have time to post the next day. I have even taken recent photos with the idea of submitting them to the site and/or adding them to my gallery, but that takes more time, too. Maybe things will slow down this winter. But as long as I am posting now, let me say how much I enjoyed the photos of your family. As neighbors, let's stay in touch!

Mariana, have you been to Vernal? Why not come with him sometime and I can show you some of the local sites? But maybe you wouldn't want to relinquish any of your time with him. People often are brought here for "temporary" assignments and end up staying. Are you sure you'll be staying in Bountiful?

we tried to go visit him once and couldn't get a hotel room. also, we were told the dinosaur museum was closed for renovations. i might take you up on your offer though. when is a good time to visit? if i plan far enough in advance we might be able to get a room.
also yes, we will be staying in bountiful. we are building a home here. the job out there is paying for this new home. bret doesn't like vernal at all. this is probably because he hasn't had the chance to see the beautiful side of it. the town itself is lacking what a hard working man wants...a good dinner.
