Tom - just stopped by to see how you are doing and bring you some Strawberry Cream Cheese Pie. Are you from the Big Vancouver (BC) or Little Vancouver (WA)? Also here are some flowers to brighten up your place

Tom, I don't ever remember Vancouver, BC as ever being small. While I was raised in Los Angeles, as a child there was a quarter horse ranch accross the street and grape vineyard, olive & lemon groves a few blocks away.

Now fully grown, I live in a town of under 3,000, with the More...

Hi Tom! A very belated to you! Just read your post on easy and stopped by to bring you a pot of Maryland Cream of Crab soup. I live on the East Coast of the U.S. near the Chesapeake Bay. Lots of blue crabs to be had in this area. The soup is one of my favorite uses for them!

Hi Tom! Can't believe you've been around since July & I haven't noticed before! There's probably a lot going on that I don't notice, particularly since we're retirees, too, & travel a lot. When we're away from home I don't get on site every day, but I saw your list on today's Easy - very More...

Hello Tom - I haven't seen you around for a very long time and I just noticed your comment on easy tonight, so I thought I'd pay you a visit. I must admit I don't get on here very often these days either.
I hope all is well with you.

Hello Tom. I can't believe in all these years that I have never stopped by before. My apologies. I have a daughter who lived in Vancouver until about 10 months ago but she has relocated to Kelowna. At any rate, belated Christmas wishes to you and yours, and may the new year see you and all More...

Hello again Tom, I'm the one who needs to apologise for being so long in replying. I've been caught up with extra hours at work and only just after I've arrived home from an overseas holiday.
Thank you for your comments. I don't always comment myself these days but still do most of the puzzles and check out the daily photos.

Hello Tom, you are quite right. I had never been to Queensland or New South Wales before, but yes, I have travelled the world quite a bit. I thought I'd keep travelling overseas while I was still able to, then start seeing more of Australia. I also thought it was about time I got over that way to More...

That's okay, Tom. I took it as curiosity as you said, not rudeness.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my photos of the hot air balloon ride, Tom. It was an amazing experience and I felt very safe. Well worth doing.

So glad to hear that you and your daughter are recovering from the virus, Tom! These are crazy times, and it has been good for all of us to follow and somewhat share in your journey. Continued healing ... and thank you for the insight you have provided. I have faith that we will get through this and be stronger for having endured it. God bless us all.

Thank you, Tom, for your kind words. I didn't learn of this until I was in high school and even then it was sketchy. After my dad passed away, did I come across the paperwork that he did as an accountant for the fundraising of building a VFW post. And I saw the drawings and notes he did long ago regarding their little shed that they lived in. And the house they lost.

tom, I hope your wife has/had a wonderful 'Covid-19 birthday'! My birthday was six days ago and I was dreading it. Surprisingly, I had a very nice birthday - partially because it was quite different than other birthdays. Maybe you develop appreciation for the simpler things in life during this pandemic.
Wishing a very 'Happy birthday!' to her!
