Glad that guy's not in my backyard - he's cute, but BRRRRR!
 |  |
11:41 one guess required...

This guy looks like a real hockey puck...
 |  |
Was today particularly easy? I didn't have to make any guesses!

Brrrrrrr!
 |  |
16:28 with a guess. How awful is that! Time to get some work done ... enough stalling. Have a great one, everybody!

I found this one easy:
1. Start with 22; g4=4, g7=1%col
2. Locked 2s in Bh5, elim in h8
3. Triple in Be5: e4,e5,e6=248, elim in box & col
4. d5=f5=79, elim in row & box, c6=7%row, b2=7
5. Locked 9s in Bb2, elim in a9
6. Triple in Bb5: a6,b4,b5=245, elim in box
7. At 26 filled More...

Not the best day for visiting this forum again: everything can be done by hints from Simple Sudoku.
Too lazy to minimize the depth or the number of sets.
 |  |
Native Canadian?
 |  |
Another old recycled picture. Surely there must be some new ones out there?
 |  |
Start at 22
up to 23 (g4=4) by unique choice
hidden pair at (d6 & f4)=> up to 25 (b2=c6=7)
hidden pairs at (a4 & a5), (d5 & d7)
if a5=6 -> i5=3 -> h5=2 -> b5=4
but a5=6 -> a4=8 -> e4=2 -> b4=5 -> a6=4 -> b5=2 !
so a5=8 => up to 47
hidden pair at More...

Nice easy tough today! Can be done with max depth of 3, 7 total sets, 3 non-native eliminations. Hints to fairly efficient solution:
A depth 3 elimination of a 2 in box Be5.
A depth 1 elimination of a 9 from box Bb8.
A depth 3 elimination of a 5 from box Bb2.

Hi Andrei!

Nice to have you back, even if it is an off day!

Cute Snowman.

13:08 Maen
 |  |
Cool snowman! mAen all!
 |  |
mAen to all. That's 'Frosty the Snowman.' A universal snowman, but not Canadian. We do 'Snow Persons' up here in the 'Great White North!!' Of course, Massachusetts never gets snow does it, 'cause it only snows in Canada???

Got stuck twice and had to use Nic's solution. Thanks Nic.
 |  |
14:57 with a lucky guess.

lots of repeats on tough lately...
 |  |
Forgot the timer- doesn't matter, took me forever. We never ever get snow. And I've never seen the real stuff...one day, maybe!
 |  |
Cool snowman. Wish I was there right now.
 |  |
11:29 after setup. Maybe the easiest toughie in quite some time! The snowman is cute but as noted he or she is a rerun. Too bad when there is a cute picture of my Emily just waiting somewhere in the wings....

7.31 very easy tough

9.02 with guessed. I'm not really good at these tough ones.
 |  |
Sorry for the gurus who found this too easy! A good chance for us who find 'hard' too easy to enjoy a tough one for a change- and solve it- admittedly slowly!
 |  |
Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God !
 |  |
To Andrei - I have just read your notations (written last year, I believe) for idiots (beginners), and have been enjoying doing the hard and Tough levels much more as a result - thanks, I was wondering if you were still out there somewhere, as I haven't seen your name recently.
 |  |
Jenni: yes, I am ``still out there somewhere', just too busy lately to visit more often ...
 |  |
did a tough in less than 10 mts...after a long time such a puzzle..happy
