A new blog page that presents a step by step path to solve today's tough puzzle (in a non-mathematical style) will be available through the link in the upper right column, directly under 'Check out the Sudoku Blog'. The new page should decloak about 1 hour after the new day here at sudoku.com.au. |  |
Who'd have guessed that this lovely photo was Keyan's!! Great shot as usual Keyan. |  |
give thanks for street lamps |  |
Maen, y'all! I'd forgotten that in D.C. the traffic lights were on poles on the edge of the street instead of strung on a wire in the center. We ran a few before we noticed them. It seems that they have added a bit of a yardarm now. (I was there in the late sixties.) |  |

Please 'S T O P' it is red light 'do not cross the road'I see a police car watching the road. Good maEn to everyone. |  |
Easiest puzzle ever. I had to check to make sure I was on tough. Perhaps my 2-string kite elim of 3 @ g8 gave me a lucky break. After my locked candidate elims, the puzzle fell apart into naked pairs and triples. More fine photography, Keyan.Felicitations all. |  |
good Maen. 29:58 with only a few mistakes. WHOA! morgan! is that english? i have never seen or heard someone talk about sudoku like that! |  |
 Enjoy your day/night, fellow puzzlers. |  |

UP(unique possibilities) to 25 (cells filled), f789 naked triple for 689 (naked(locked)triple: 3 digits in 3 cells)), removing (elim[inating]) 689 from column f (and box 8) reveals 7 at f2 and locked (or naked, as opposed to hidden) pair 15 at f56 which removes other possible 5's in box 5. 2-string More... |  |
last comment was for jinx. Or anyone who doesn't understand me (besides my kids) |  |

maeN all! Thanks for the kind comments. Found this puzzle easy to start, but needed two guesses at the end. |  |
I saved the 7's for last - and actually was able to solve this Tough with NO guesses! Wow! That doesn't happen very often. Once in every other Red Light, I guess. ;) |  |
Your 'Star of India' from 19th December also makes a grest jigsaw Keyan! I did it last night! |  |
Sorry, jyrki, different red light area that you're used to. |  |
