A proof for tough? sudoku of 01 22 2007:

1) Start at 23 filled - the given puzzle. Unique Possibilities to 25 filled. (UP 25).
2a) Locked 3's at f23 forbids f45=3
2b) Hidden pair 23 at bd4 forbids b4=48,d4=689
2c) fc on 4's: a5 == a2 -- h2 == h4 forbids g5=4
2d) Hidden pair 46 at gh4 forbids gh4=89, f4=46
2e) Pair 89 at ef4 forbids d56,e6,f56=8 and forbids df5=9 UP 55
3) Pair 89 at di8 forbids acg8=8, g8=9 UP 57
4) fc on 1's: (one of many) a3 == a8 -- b7 == h7 forbids h3=1 UP 81

Lots of 'easy' paths one can follow on this one.

Interesting view from under a bridge.

I can't believe I didn't have to use possibilities on this one!

Anne - It's not one of mine, today is an 'Ian-free' day.

No roller coaster??? ANYhow, glad it's only sunday here, The aussies are prying their eyes open for work. No pithy comments from me today. I think I was up too late doing sudoku. I couldn't see what forbade what or what implied what today. I got through it. Peace and luck to all.

I've been in Sydney but don't remember Luna Park... Is it a new one?

Does everyone know that you can right click on the jigsaw picture and zoom in on it? Is that old news?
Judy  From San Diego
Not a particularly difficult puzzle, but I'd honestly like to see how you did it without possibilities, LIZBABY4. You must be a brainiac! :)

look's like the same weather here. Would like some sunshine for a change.

It's mine Anne! Taken a few days after the New Year's Eve Harbour Photo - this time on a harbour cruise. Just passing under the Harbour Bridge towards the Parramatta River from the Harbour! And yes, HalT, the Opera House would have been directly behind me as I stood to take the photo! Great sense of direction!

Thanks, Kate. We were in Sydney for only two days in 2002. A great city; would love to return sometime for a longer visit.
