Greetings! I have elected to blog today's tough puzzle. A link to the blog page can be found in the upper right corner column, under "Check out the sudoku blog". The path I illustrate is likely not the most efficient one, but perhaps it will be one that at least provides some insight on techniques one might wish to use, occasionally, while tackling tougher puzzles.
Hopefully, I have been precisely verbose enough!
for your forbearance.

13:11 I'll check out your solution another time, Steve, as the out of doors is calling me. My solving skills can always use improvement.
It seemed to me as if this is a no possibilities puzzle, solvable mainly with exclusive triples identification, whatever the official name for that strategy is.

1. Unique possibilities to 28.Note triple 189 at g3/h13.
2. If g7=8,g3=1,f3=5=e9,e8=6=a9=i1,h1=9=d2=e7,d1=2,e1=3=d7 and column f is devoid of 3.Hence d7=8;UP 29.
3. When a1=5,i1=6=g5,c5=5,b5=2,g7=2.Likewise,c3=5,e1=5=f9,f3=1=d8=h1=i9,f8=2 makes g7=2.UP 30.
4. If e9=5,a9=6=i1=g5,d1=2,a1=5=c5,b5=2=c8=f9,c4=1,c3=9=h1,e1=3=f8=h9.Now,the 35 rectangle created at dg46 cannot be resolved,so f9=5 and UPs to 81.
