More on Cribbage - This tourney was a 22 game qualifier. Based on an American Cribbage Congress scoring system, the top 1/4 advance to a single elimination playoff. Best 3 of 5 matches. . An other lovely sunny day following an overnight temperature of minus three Celsius (thats 27F). The spring bulbs are making a grand show, but there are still a lot to emerge. The trees are producing their blossoms. It is good to be alive.

Here is a clue to the 'extra credit' question in Wombat's current puzzle:
Look for the solution before you solve the words. The answer is in the B&D columns (second and fourth letters), so is easier to see without the A&Cs.

Further to Sarah's comments above, the 'extra credit' puzzle turned out to be a bit obscure. A number of people pointed that column B and D were in alphabetical order, but they always have been. Check back to previous puzzles. What intrigued Sarah was that whenever two letter were paired, say More...

There were no such problems with the usual PUZZLE. Twelve people responded, and apart from an occasional typo gave correct responses. They were Sarah, Tyranids, Wombat, Chris, Judy, Amelia,Arachnid, Peter, Joyce, Kathy, Snowbird and Scout. Well done everybody. Here are the answers:
