At Mr Cee's request, a re-post from last week with a new number one and a different number 5. Those who had the free 1 point and the 1/2 point for grog lose those points. Answers to my 'Cee Has Gone Walkabout' inbox.

I'm not a germaphobe, but the thought of all the germs she exposed herself to did cross my mind.

By the way, these are Curtails.

I had a plan for the day. As of Monday it was to go to a local ''beach''. E-coli ruined that plan. As of Wednesday it was take a drive to a cool park. Yesterday the e-coli report came back clear so the beach was back on. Then I checked the weather and it's not going to hit beach temps by my More...

Hi shosho.

Shiela and anyone else who is interested.

When you look at a rose, the colored petals forming the rose represent the queen.
The five green leaf-like flaps below the petals, called sepals, represent the five guardsmen.
At closer inspection, you will see these five leaves have very More...

Greg are you sure #1 is a curtail and not a behead???
27/Jul/13 12:20 AM
I've never noticed, Serena!
(I think I'll go check out my roses bushes a bit closer!)
27/Jul/13 12:21 AM

Good morning fellow puzzlers, hope all is good in your world.

Happy advancing in age to Huahinian. If memory is working, he hits the 88 or 89, this year.
27/Jul/13 12:44 AM
MY MISTAKE. Number 1 is a Beheader. SORRY!
27/Jul/13 12:46 AM
Serena, I must admit that I had seen that rose riddle before. Perhaps Fiona posted it at one time or another.
27/Jul/13 12:50 AM
I looked at my rose bushes, Serena. (It took a while because I had to wrap my ankle first!) Anyway, I saw those 'unshaven & shaven guardians' - for the first time ever!
27/Jul/13 1:10 AM
Nearing 22....
27/Jul/13 1:11 AM
Ohhhhh, Keith.... Where are you????
27/Jul/13 1:11 AM

27/Jul/13 1:12 AM
Interesting factoid, about the roses, Serena.

Time to stick a finger in my eyes. Put my contacts on, that is. Spectacles are OK, but..................

Back home, but slept in.

Statue posing?

Is that supposed to be a bear with Mickey Mouse ears? Or are the ears accidental?
27/Jul/13 2:07 AM
Seems like a slow day, so -

Item for discussion:

What is your favorite, most useful or most used tool / appliance / article, in the ''FPA''? (kitchen)

Yeah, I know, for some it's the dinner plate.
27/Jul/13 2:07 AM
Now I have to go inspect my roses. I'd never noticed that either. Thanks for teaching me something new about nature, Serena. My day is now successful.
27/Jul/13 2:12 AM
Easy one, DOA... My wife.
27/Jul/13 2:15 AM
I think the 2 most used appliances are the microwave... makes cooking meals or snacks so much easier.... and the electric can opener. That's my dog's favorite appliance. As soon as I start using it, the puppies get really excited. I have a special one, too. It doesn't leave sharp edges. I had to More...

everyone!!!
27/Jul/13 2:24 AM
Hal, I was expecting inanimate objects, but I see your point. I'm sure St B. will be pleased to know she is at the top of the list. Onya, mate.
27/Jul/13 2:25 AM
Ouch, Heidi!!! I think I have a can opener, somewhere Haven't had the need to use one in a long time! Even my cat's food comes in a can with a ring top to pull open the can!
27/Jul/13 2:27 AM
Happy Friday!
Now, off to go check out those shaven and unshaven parts of my neighbor's roses...
27/Jul/13 2:27 AM
Since I've retired it's the coffee maker! Then it's the microwave oven. I have a question - What is the stove, oven, and refrigerator considered? Because the last is on continuously!
27/Jul/13 2:31 AM
shosho, I guess the pull top cans are convenient, but, I, like Heidi suffered a cut. Mine from the sharp edge remaining after the top is removed. I wash all cans, for recycling, and during the washing of one can, I suffered a cut. Nowhere as severe as Heidi's, but!!! I invested in a good can opener - non-electric. (not my favorite, by the way.)

If I were Saint B, think I would be making funeral arrangements, now.
HalT, calling you sainted wife an appliance, shame on you.
27/Jul/13 2:38 AM
I guess the refer could / should be at the top of the list. A true unsung / taken for granted, part of modern living. Most of us would have a hard time living without it.
27/Jul/13 2:40 AM
Attempting to think of what is in that room, I agree with Shosho, coffee maker. Cannot live without that machine, even when I was not drinking coffee. I brew my tea in that machine, too. Dishwasher is a life saver. Fridge is my friend, sometimes.
27/Jul/13 2:41 AM
OK, Karen. You are ''set up''. I'm waiting.
