Ahhhh.... Summer in the City! 01/May/10 12:12 AM Lots of fun to be had, right here in River City! 01/May/10 12:20 AM A lot of detail in one colourful photo. 01/May/10 12:25 AM 1. Basic techniques to UP = 262. (5)h6 = (5)de6 - (5)f5 = (5-2)f3 = (2)ac3 - (2=139)a124 - (9)a5 = (9)h5 => h6 <> 9, h5 <> 5; UP = 81 01/May/10 1:03 AM Nothing like a dip in the water on hot day! 01/May/10 1:53 AM Almost the same to rwm's:1) Start at 23,basic techniques to UP=262)(5)f3=f5-de6=(5-9)h6=(9-4)e6=(4)f5,=>f5<>5.UP=81 01/May/10 2:04 AM 30:00 to you all from Oregon! 01/May/10 2:13 AM maen all! hot times...summer in the city...all of the dredge sand islands on the mid and upper hudson(well forested now after about 100 years) can be "rented" with state "squatter permits" for \$200 per year...a great hit with us river rats...my son has one for weekending...no crowds either! 01/May/10 3:08 AM Neil, I've posted comments for you on the Apr 27 and 28 tough pages. (I suggest you see Apr 28 first) To others with experience in the broader Sudoku community, I would appreciate any feedback on the Apr 27 comments. Sorry if I was a bit long-winded. 01/May/10 3:31 AM That looks like fun except the part were you can see/hear what the neighbors do and/or doing. 01/May/10 3:34 AM way too long 01/May/10 6:34 AM Interesting solution with an "anti-5" in h6! Never approached it that way, but it seems to be a good technique when needed. 01/May/10 6:38 AM Hi All,My special thanks to rwm, farpointer and ttt who posted replies relation to my 'requests and 'solutions') postings on the 27 and 28 April Toughs. I will reply, after digesting them, on those pages, and add a comment on the current Tough page to say that I have done so.Best regards, Neil 01/May/10 8:06 PM Did it! Looks like a lot of people having fun. But isn't Australia one of the most sparsely populated places on earth? Doesn't look it here. 01/May/10 9:00 PM another 2 set path (shortest above is 4):1. basic techniques UP 26.2. (4)f5=(4)abc5-(148=5)bi6,d6 => ~(5)f53. UP 81. 02/May/10 1:20 PM rwm: I looked up Kraken and got fish, but still have no clue what a Kraken Cell might be??? (unless it's just the idea of using derived strong sets?). 02/May/10 1:30 PM --read sotir's proof jul'07. seem's like a kraken cell is just a polite way of dignifying: try every possibility in cells until something useful turns up. (in my field - C# programmer - that's called 'brute force' search). 03/May/10 4:25 AM 26:20 30/May/10 12:38 AM SE=7.2 10/Sep/10 9:39 PM
