The photo almost looks like a diorama. Give you an idea of the scale.

Hi rwm. Should your first term read: (3=9146)e3789....?
Best Regards, Alfred.

Alfred,
It would be possible to begin a chain as you suggest, but in this case there's no need or value in getting cell e8 and its candidate '6' involved. I just want enough to continue the chain with
. . . - (4=8)f9 - d7 = . . .
Perhaps it would be clearer if I expanded the first term cell by cell:
(3=9)e3 - (9=1)e7 - (1=4)e9 - (4=8)f9 - . . .

1. (8=739)d1.e13-e7=(9)d7 =>-8d7; singles to 81
or more 'symmetric'
1. (8=739)d1.e13-(9=148)e79.f9 =>-8d7, -8f23; singles to 81

Thanks Cenoman. My mistake really. I forgot that 6 is locked at f23. I had 369 @ e3, instead of 39. In any case, your second way is certainly the shortest.

So, similar to your second way:
Whether e3=3=i1;OR e3=9=d7;d1=8.UP81.

OK. I have done a bit of research. The Devils coach house is part of the Jenolan Caves system, west of Sydney -south of Lithgow.

This is a great panorama that you can take a virtual look.
