I always shake my head a little when I read comments by the Aussies that they are cold, like CP's 8 degrees comments yesterday. Here when we hit 8 degrees after winter, restaurant and bar outdoor patios open and are busy, people are walking around in shorts and everyone is celebrating Spring. Different perspectives.

Okay, some weekend puzzling for those interested.

1.Something that is toxic, damaging, unsafe and unhealthy –> someone graduating in a gown and cap is carrying this many roses
2. A Grammy Award winning singer whose songs include ‘The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face’ –> be without More...

I was up at the crack of dawn to set up for a garage sale. (not mine, for a club I belong to) I am not normally an early riser and am fading fast.
I'll see how many answers I can get to Greg's puzzle before I slide out of this chair.

Greg, after days in the 20+*c yesterday was max about 15*c with a cold wind factor probably. The jumpers etc came out and I put on the heater late afternoon to warm up the house. It is 14*c now and I do not feel cold like I did in the daytime yesterday.

Good morning everyone. I agree Greg, temperature is all relative to what you are used to.. Yes today it got to about 16 here, but wind blowing strongly straight from Antarctica made it much colder and quite unpleasant.

It's still blowing a gale here and when the sun comes up we'll be out and about to check how many trees are down over our fences. Lit my first fire fir the year last night and will need it again today.

In case you're wondering why I am up so early on a Sunday morning - unsettled dog! I'm think it's the wind making him nervous. My next dog has to pass the tranquility test and have pigment around both eyes!

We don't but white faced cattle anymore, unless there is dark hair around the eyes, because of susceptibility to eye problems.
