Prayers for those in the path of the bushfires and for the families of those who have lost their lives. Having lived through the recent fires here, I share with them the feelings of fear, agony, horror, and helplessness. May the tragedy soon come to an end.

It's a lovely morning here even though there's still chance of rain. It'll still be lovely with rain because I don't have to go anywhere!

Looks like our American Maine Coon cat before she got very old -as she is now. Still a wonderful personality (rather cat-onality)

Hi, guys! Looks like I missed the race, but I was busy posting a recipe for a dessert I made last night. It turned out really good, so I thought I'd share it. It's called Fresh Lime Cheesecake, and it's baked in a 10x13 baking pan, so it takes less than an hour to bake, and it serves 12 to 20 More...

Good morning Rocky (shosho)...nice flying!
Rayray - good to see you back up on the site...you were missed. Continued good health to you!
09/Feb/09 3:12 AM
Rayray - how are you this morning? I hope you're well on the road to a full recovery.
09/Feb/09 3:12 AM
Jane - that dessert sounds yummy! thanks for sharing it...I love that it is low fat, too.
09/Feb/09 3:13 AM
Vici - this time of year, EVERYthing is low fat in this house!
09/Feb/09 3:14 AM
Actually, the cake is not exactly low-fat, but it's definitely reduced-fat.
09/Feb/09 3:15 AM
all.
How are you doing now, Rayray? I've been SO worried about you.
09/Feb/09 3:27 AM
We had a Bobcat problem a few years ago. It killed 3 of my lambs.... ~50 pounds each, and a lot of my poultry! I had to hire a professional trapper to get rid of it.
09/Feb/09 3:29 AM
Heidi - it's good to see you posting again. How have you and your animals fared these past weeks with no heat, power or water????

As You Slide Down the Banister of Life, Remember:

1. Jim Baker and Jimmy Swaggert have written an impressive new book. It's called: 'Ministers Do More Than Lay People'

2. Transvestite: A guy who likes to eat, drink and be Mary.

3. The difference between the Pope and your More...

The Victoria wildfires were the headline story on our news this morning. I think Rosemary in Wangaretta is in the area affected. My heart goes out to those dealing with this terrifying tragedy.

I wish that I could be in Australia to help with the clean-up and rescue efforts. Since that is impossible, does anyone know of a charitable organization to which I can make a financial contribution?
09/Feb/09 3:39 AM
I just want to let you all know that the recipe for Fresh Lime Cake that I mentioned earlier is in the Recipes page in the Forum. It won't be added to the cookbook until the next update. Sorry if I've confused anyone - besides Vici, that is. LOL
