Hello everyone, after a long break another one of my photos. The trail you can see on the very left is part of the Inca Trail on our first day of our trek just at the edge of the photo, just out of Ollantaytambo.
Nice pix, Anne. I think our next big trip will be to Peru.
Is that a passenger or freight train? My husband and I love taking the train. We have gone across Canada many times that way, including on our honeymoon.
Elizabeth - it probably carries some freight but mainly passengers as far as I know. The people who want to see Machu Picchu without having to hike on one of the trails can take the train to the town near the ruins.
Good morning to all! That one took me longer then usual, but now I see why. I was going by train instead of plane! Another great picture Anne! Did you and your group ride the rails on that train?
Hi Greg, we returned from Machu Picchu on it after walking the trail. Spent a couple of days at Machu Picchu first, though. Five of our group went both ways on it because they didn't walk the trail.
Nostalgic.
Cool know you weren't one of those five, as you shown all the pictures when you walked the trails. Or are there yet more photos to come?
10.27 slow
The train looks like a super way to go for me! Nice picture as always, Anne. to all.
As soon as I saw this I wondered if this was one of yours, Anne. This scenery is just beautiful.
Thanks
Elizabeth from Ontario - if you love taking trains try the Indian-Pacific between Perth and Sydney. We had a wonderful trip but only Perth-Adelaide. One day we will take the Ghan from Adelaide to Darwin. Very 'Orient Express' only slower.
Another beautiful photo, Anne! Thank you!
Great photo Anne, and thank you for the visual trip. Hope there's mor to come.

Hi Jade
Thank you, Anne. I have really enjoyed all your pictures.
I once hopped a frieght train with friends. We road from Spokane, Washington to Whitefish, Montana with the door open to magnificent mountains. Ate pizza in Whitefish and went back to Spokane.

The area to the right of the train looks like terraced steps...?
maeN all. Another nice photo Anne, thanks. Anyone tried www.qualitysudoku.com? The '+' shaped ones are a real challenge and get the brain grinding away.
