Good afternoon to all! Nice picture. There is a similar sign post in Prince Ruprt, British Columbia, but it shows the disances to places like Tokyo, Sydney (Australia), Halifax (Canada), London (England), etc. Wish I had a picture of it to past!

Bluff is the southern most point of the South Island - Stewart island is further south again. Bluff has been in the national news, after the destruction of the famous paua (a kind of abalone) shell house by the grandson of the old couple who built it - covered inside and out with polished paua shells.

Wow! I never get tired of the ocean with mountains. You caught a wonderful atmosphere with the light and clouds.
no we didnt get to stewart island, major storm hit the whole area a few hours later.
this photo was taken at the bottom of the Bluff, lands end, an historic town that has now been decimated after the closure of the mill which employed most of the town.
Possum, I cant believe that the grandson would do that, it was an icon in the town.
Oh no! The paua shell house is gone?! It may not have been everyone's cup of tea but it was still incredible! I came back from Stewart Island on a trawler. It was so rough in Foveaux Strait I had to sit high on a sack of oysters to stay dry. Being inside did not appeal. The day before, the More...
