MAEN Forgot to set the timer! ARGH! Anyway, great picture!
3:58 Maen Dan...that's when I go back and do it again :)
Did not bother to set the time on that one. The hard ones always take so much longer. It was worth working though. what an awsome picture! One of my favorite vacations/camping trips with my husband and daughters was on the south rim of the Grand Canyon. We timed it just perfectly so that we More...
To start with the problem looked hard but after a filling ups the rest followed very simply.
The Grand Canyon is on my list of places to see.
Awe-inspiring photo. Still doesn't motivate me to take up camping, though.
Maen all - I too had a grand trip to the Canyon - went to the south rim where at that time you could sit on the edge. Spent two hours with a few friends. The shadows and color changes is something all should see. 70's here - hope to see the shuttle launch tonight from the beach.
Awesome pic of the Grand Canyon. Minor point: it's in Arizona, not Utah.
Beautiful picture! Would love to see that first hand someday. Easy Hard today!
mAen! 8:06 - an ok time for me. Nice shot! Too bad I completely missed that part of the US (my state count is at 42). Shawn, tell your daughter to take enough math in high school/college, if she is serious about astronomy. That will help. Alas, the way things are, girls are often discouraged from More...
What an awesome picture. The clouds look surreal.
Have a wonderful day all.
Beautiful photo - colors, clouds.
jyrki, I'm impressed with your state count, more than many U.S. citizens. I hope to someday visit your beautiful country, have traveled in Norway and Denmark, but not Sweden or Finland.
wonderful natural colours!
HalT: Yes, of course, you are correct, and it is in Arizona. I forgot. The approach to the North Rim where this photo was taken begins in Utah. The area is so wild between Utah and the North Rim that it's hard to think about state boundaries!
Here, the girls exceed the boys in advanced math enrollment and math scores. It wasn't that way just 10 years back! Our big problem is finding enough math teachers since enrollment is up in advanced classes. We have to recruit teachers from the Philippines.
Martha: Yep, I know what you mean. Same thing for Monument Valley, enter from Utah into what is mostly in AZ.

All guesses for the weight and date of Nicole's baby were lost in the big crash!!!!

You will need to redo them if you wish to be a part of the competition
Only 9 more days to due date so hopefully wont have to post these competition details for too much longer....

Guess the weight and date of arrival of my Grandbaby. Click on 'competition' and be in the running for 6 months free membership that Gath has so graciously offered.
To all who wish to take part in the competition...

If you go to 'check out my page' after my name you will see a photo of Nicole at 37 weeks. This may help in your guess. Some of you may wish to revise your guess...lol....Maybe the 'BIG CRASH' was a good thing
Great photo Martha , incredible sight. I would love to see the shuttle launch wish I could be with you Jan. Alas too far away.
7.34 faster than medium ...but medium was slow for me and this is a new record for 'hard'
5:28 for a moment as it came up I thought it was the 'Three Sisters' in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney... I need to get my eyes checked!
Really great picture
Love the strata in the rock. Martha - You must have had a WONDERFUL holiday - so many adventures.
Great picture! I love the way the clouds echo the peaks within the canyon.
Hope you find good teachers! Sounds like there's hope for your daughters (and sons as well, I know mine is doing well in math). Hopefully I didn't offed / sound patronizing /anything. I tend to forget that this is no ordinary chat room :)

Rose, I thought the exact same thing and was taken aback. Great photo!
6:10 - easier than the medium!

Hi Ruth - Morpeth is a lovely spot (and a very nice teddy bear shop/gallery on the top floor of one of the shops - we got one of our favourite bears there!)
Chris, the name of the shop is Campbells Store; we can see it from our house and our daughter works there but downstairs in 'Jam'. The bears are fabulous; I think my favourite is the snoring bear, my daughter's favourite is the life sized Stieff Brown Bear.
