Sorry Shiela, but it isn't a relative of the Bottlebrush - there are lots of different bottlebrushes & also lots of different banksias!!

This banksia is a prostrate one - the cylindrical spikes are up to 16 cm high, 7-8 cm wide and pale woolly orange in colour. The plant can spread to 3 or 4 metres across.
Origin of its name: Banksia...after Sir Joseph Banks botanist on the Endeavour with Captain Cook when they ''found'' More...
