G'day mates. Here's today's daffynition:
door - Something a cat or dog wants to be on the other side of.

...and here's today's factoid:
In the art of Feng Shui, having an open, clean and clear pathway to the door is very important for the harmonious flow of energy.

Man does not believe in good energy flow, every doorway, has his projects on either side. MIL, has a habit of putting whatever in doorways, too. Of course, this drives me crazy.

Only two spots are taken in the winner’s circle today. Peter and Lizzy G knew the riddle was referring to Chinese Characters.

Heidi, good luck at the vet's with the puppy. Our cat Arthur goes completely savage--we handle him with oven mitts and something that look like falconry gloves. You wouldn't know it from looking at his sweet, innocent face but he's a force to be reckoned with when he's afraid.

Oh, Cathy, your cat sounds horrendous, poor dear.

I was so afraid of moving my cats, which really was not as bad, as my imagination, and I only had to move one cat. Poopers, wailing from one place to the other, was not even close to what my imagination had come up with and all of my skin was intact.

Think today, could be considered productive, I think. The way the girls have been sleeping late, lately, I had about 2 hours to work...rearrange the boxes in the garage. I was given about 30 minutes before the demands started. I think, some progress was made, the garage is a tiny bit more empty and More...

I used to have a cat that would go vicious if he saw a needle. To handle him at the Vet's I would bring heavy fireplace gloves. They kept laughing at me. When I took the cat in to be neutered, I tried to leave the gloves with him, and they turned down the offer. When it came time to sedate him, More...

Karen, so glad your move with the cat went well--it's so traumatic, generally, for both pets and owners.
Heidi, loved your story!
My poor Arthur has a note on his vet file that pronounces him 'difficult.' (And he's such a docile, lovable cat at home, and he purrs like a Rolls Royce.)
Anyway, two- and four-legged folk, have a great weekend!

Today is going to be a lazy hazy day! I got busy yesterday after the doctor visit which btw hubby came through with flying colors. Which of course he thought it meant he could go biking riding. I spent a nervous 2 hours waiting to hear a bleeding episode but he came home without a gleam of sweat on him.

I did bake a whole wheat bread loaf. So I shall spread eggplant salad on a toasted slice for lunch today! A slice of smoked gruyere cheese, heavenly~!

My younger daughter took her two cats to the vet yesterday for check-up/shots. They were in separate carriers. They were not happy when she entered the waiting room. So she placed the carriers so the cats could see each other. That did not help. Then the vet's cat entered the room and laid down between the two cages. Both cats settled down and were quiet the rest of the visit.
