Good morning all! Very cute picture. Rained all day yesterday with some severe weather in the surrounding area (tornado, hail and high winds warnings) We usually don't get tornadoes around here! Another gloomy day today. Have a good day!

Went to my daughters spring concert last night and they sang 'Buttercup'! The original version is on my youtube if you like that song.

Stella, we had a tornado about an hour from here too. Very unusual, and there may even be frost tonight, so naturally I'm thrilled to have to take all my newly potted planters into the garage.

As well as hugging and loving them, teach them what they can do to help themselves if ever in this situation, including turning off and hiding their mobile phone (so it won't ring), then calling for help or texting when able. I can go to bed knowing my children are safe, but I feel for those who won't tonight.

Angie and Susan, When my daughter was 5 there was a young girl abducted in our city so I took that opportunity to talk with her about what to do and every few years I would reiterate and add more information. I've taught my son what to do to and also to be watching if someone needs help. But you still worry.

2:55 Good Maen all. Woulda done better got hung up there. Hey Bill from TX- what part you from? Have you heard of the anti-immigrant (read anti-hispanic)law they passed up by here in Flower Mound?

Good Thursday Maen, all!

I live in Fort Worth and yes I heard about that, used to work in North Dallas, almost in Farmers Branch. I see it as an anti-illegal law. I have many friends who endured the immigration office and came to the United States legally from Mexico, South America, India, Pakistan, Vietnam, More...

Being as this site is based in Australia the Aussies can verify this. I saw MANY people from other countries, nationalities, and languages in Australia. I don't believe you will find anyone in Australia that is there illegally unless they came in in a private boat. Australia checks EVERYTHING coming into their island. My golf shoes where cleaned and I got them back missing one spike.

Here, Here, Bill. Coming in legally is a good thing and a welcome thing. Illegal aliens from any country just really bother me.

Aaah, what a lovely pic.
We're having another warm day here.

Turning off your phone is not the correct thing to do in that situation as one can be located through the signal.(Someone rescued this way in a snowstorm recently). The best thing to do is turn off the ring or put it on vibrate.
18/May/07 3:08 AM

You have it right, Bill, with the 'I see it as an anti-illegal law'. Let's make is easier for law-abiding hispanics to immigrate and stop the problem of hispanics dying in the back of trailers as they are smuggled across the border.

Start 'em young! Grandpa's doing the puzzle in ink! I'm impressed!

Corky: That's what I was told too. Good thing to know and put into practice.
