20/Sep/07 12:06 AM
Dan, we have a real problem with them in our waterways. Again, another introduced species loving our environment too much.

Good Maen That tree is really getting blown around. I loved that story "Wind in the Willows" when growing up.
20/Sep/07 12:14 AM
Good Wednesday Maen, all!

Playing a little before going to the gym (trying to make the gym a more consistent habit, like playing Sudoku...)
20/Sep/07 12:15 AM
Did yers know it's (talk like a pirate day) today or was it yesterday to some of you. Argh.
20/Sep/07 12:19 AM
2:53 Just home from badminton, now for a lovely relaxing to keep the aches at bay.
20/Sep/07 12:25 AM
My neighbor's Briard (dog) looks just like this tree!
20/Sep/07 12:32 AM

Q: What happened to the clock when it fell into the sheep dip?

A: It lost all its ticks.
20/Sep/07 12:36 AM
all (at 7am - 49° overcast - expecting showers)

Judy your neighbor must have a strange and very large GREEN dog. What breed?

Fishing - Argh!
20/Sep/07 12:39 AM
2:53. Tied you, Anne!
20/Sep/07 12:44 AM

It surprises me how much sheep eat:
they never seem to be replete.
As lawn-mowers they trim pastoral scenes,
devouring grass just like machines.

Their movement through the lea is slow.
Flocks crossing fields as a steady flow More...

Rayray: So THAT'S why little lambs eat ivy!
20/Sep/07 12:57 AM
Well, it's not GREEN, EVE! LOL Briards have fur that looks and hangs just like a willow tree.
20/Sep/07 12:59 AM
A winner again, Rayray!

Willow trees are indeed beautiful, but beware of their invasive root systems! We had to take one down, because it was too close to the house and played havoc with the foundation.
20/Sep/07 1:13 AM
We had a willow tree next door, and my husband always wondered if that was what was killing our peach tree.
20/Sep/07 1:18 AM
My favourite tree.
20/Sep/07 1:26 AM
Ahoy there, Fishing Guy. Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day!

Arrr... me time was dismal again today. Partly a lack of mental acuity and partly me scallywag of a computer that awoke with an uncooperative spirit. The scurvy dog hornswoggled me out of about 30 seconds today.
20/Sep/07 1:28 AM
Perhaps we can persuade Rayray's sheep to eat the invasive willow trees.
20/Sep/07 1:30 AM
just googled talk like a pirate and there is a website called talklikeapirate.com they have books where you can learn to talk like a pirate. I need to sit down... I think I am quite normal after all...
20/Sep/07 1:33 AM
well normal 'ish'
20/Sep/07 1:35 AM
andré, what is a normal ish?
20/Sep/07 1:42 AM
Or is it Norma Lish?
20/Sep/07 1:51 AM
well anne (and by the way a big smile to see your presence here) ish is a sort of semi-horizontal postion brought on by flabbergasting movements whilst talking pirate!
20/Sep/07 1:52 AM
it should be one 'b' in flabergasting I guess but I was startled by the website thing. I quite like Norma Lish Jane is has a sort of ring to it...
20/Sep/07 1:54 AM
Andre that sounds painful.

New YouTube on my page, check it out.
20/Sep/07 1:54 AM
and if you google flabergaster (Urban dictionary) it refers to the extra baggage under ones chin, well I never...
20/Sep/07 1:56 AM
20/Sep/07 1:59 AM
flabbergast has two b-s, but flibbergast is completely another matter, and I believe means something very important in pirate. Though "flibbergast" does not mean "something very important" in pirate.
20/Sep/07 2:05 AM
It might though.
20/Sep/07 2:06 AM
andré: There are also sites where you can get your pirate name! We did this for a pirate-themed event one year.
20/Sep/07 2:16 AM
everyone. Windy and cool here in Reno today but supposed to get better by the weekend. Hope it warms up so the motorcycles will come to the Rally. It is called "Reno Street Vibrations" Cool rally and very noisy, the ear plug guy More...
20/Sep/07 2:17 AM
My definition is: ones reaction to ones ghastly flab.
