 Yes, Winter is approaching here in the US. We are sitting in our cozy cabin in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, and everything is covered with a soft blanket of snow. It's amazing!  JANE, we are about as close to a ski area as you can get without having a lift moving over your head! We are on the BACK of Mammoth Mountain, arguably California's premier ski resort.  Lucky you, Judy! I may be taking a ski trip to Vail, Colorado in January with the ski club I belonged to when I lived in Richmond, but boy, does that involve travel.
