07/Dec/12 12:14 AM
He didn't even vote for himself, Kayo?
07/Dec/12 12:15 AM
Sorry Vici, but at first glance, I thought your kitty's nose was a naked female back end.

That's a stretch Keith.
07/Dec/12 12:20 AM

Going to be traveling later today. Going to my BIL's funeral tomorrow in the northern part of the state. Very glad it is not snowing since we'll be driving 200 miles at night. Sad that he's gone, but BIL had Alzheimer's. He's been 'gone' for a while. RIP Don.
07/Dec/12 12:28 AM
What an adorable little froglet!!!!
07/Dec/12 12:41 AM
I'm sorry to hear about your BIL Don, Shiela, but it does sound like the best thing for him and his family. Alzheimer's has to be a terrifying thing for it's victims.
Rest in Peace, Don.

I believe the factoid about Zachary Taylor. He WAS from Kentucky, after all. Kentucky can be a bit......... backward?..... ignorant?.... hill-billy?

Well, actually for my student, but |I was there.

Hi Kayo, Heidi and All,

I thought that the votes in presidential elections were supposed to be anonymous (ie, nobody knows who voted for who). Am I wrong?
07/Dec/12 1:39 AM
My assumption, Neil, is that Zachary Taylor, himself, announced that fact publicly at some point. That must be what happened, because that's the only way it could become public knowledge, since voting is, indeed, anonymous.

Hey guys!
I went AWOL and missed you guys...come back for puzzles!
Lizzy - so glad our timing worked out...thanks for helping!
Shiela - that is actually Heidi's peeking kitty that she let me steal. I do love it, too!

07/Dec/12 2:00 AM
Shiela - I hope your time at the funeral winds up being a true celebration of Don's life. Be at peace, Don.
07/Dec/12 2:00 AM
That IS a cute froglet...good cammo, too.
07/Dec/12 2:04 AM
Hi Keith,

To risk the wrath of some people, do you believe everything that politicians say?
07/Dec/12 2:24 AM
There are politicians, and then there are politicians.

I just had one day in my square, but my sister asked what it was and when I looked it up, more celebrations showed up.

When my mom was married to her second husband, his family celebrated St. Nicholas day. Just thinking of all the yummies Grandma made, is making me gain weight. Step-sister More...

Bird Flu.

I heard that they found about 200 dead crows recently in a small town, and there was concern that they may have died from Avian Flu.

The Town Council had a Bird Pathologist examine the remains of all the crows, and he confirmed the problem was definitely NOT Avian Flu, to More...

Only main thing on the agenda today, is to get the tooth fairie to visit. Child's tooth came out last Thursday, and the darn fairie has not done his duties, yet.
