Gail, my computer will travel with me, but whether I'll have time is the question. Our grandson is 3 and granddaughter will be 1 in two weeks, so they'll be keeping my husband & I pretty busy. It's been over 30 years since we had two little ones to keep track of! Wish me luck!!!!
01/Oct/07 12:27 AM
Luck Linda! You are very good to do this for your daughter. I hope she is going to make the most of her week 'off'.

Anne - I've just visited your new photos, funny, but they make ME feel homesick for the Albany area. See you next year for sure.

Thanks Gail. Our daughter and her husband are celebrating their wedding anniversary. They both work very hard in rather stressful jobs, so I'm happy to see them get away and relax! My husband and I are always happy to get the grandkids to ourselves - although I wonder if I'll be singing the same tune this time next week...

Linda, I am sure your daughter appreciates it. My mom lives nearby and always helps with the kids. The longest we have gone away without them is a weekend. We usually go to Disney and take them with us. Enjoy every minute.

Hope everyone is relaxing (or has relaxed) on this weekend. To help you stay mellow, give a listen to the Mills Brothers singing "Yellow Bird." Enjoy!

I use saddle soap on my boots to get rid of scuff marks. All you do is put a generous amount on a dry cloth and rub.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Good luck with the babysitting, Linda! My parents will be looking after my two young ones from next Sunday. I'll be visiting my older daughter in London. My younger children are 13 and 16 and Ouma & Oupa, who are both 77 this year, will actually just be around in case of an emergency. Cheers all and may God bless all grandparents!

A man had been driving all night and by morning was still far from his destination. He decided to stop at the next city he came to, and park somewhere quiet so he could get an hour or two of sleep. As luck would have it, the quiet place he chose happened to be on one of the city's major jogging More...
