It was 40*c here yesterday and it is still hot tonight. The AC is on in the bedroom so that room is reasonably cool.

Morning. Several of our local creeks flooded yesterday, closing a number of streets around town. It has stopped raining over night, so the big puddles all around my yard have soaked in.

I think you may have needed that rain Keith? I would not mind some here at the moment to water the garden for me.

With the amount of rain we've gotten this Winter, June, it doesn't feel like a drought any more. Reservoirs are full, or close to it. Snow pack in the mountains now seems adequate. What's apparently still an issue is the water table levels. Years ago, a well didn't have to be all that deep, but More...

Good morning all - oops, don't think I made it under the noon bells! It is a gorgeous sunny, warm day today, but it's taken until now for the mighty thick layer of ice to melt on the drive & walkways.
12/Jan/17 4:08 AM
Combination of both, Joyce.
12/Jan/17 4:12 AM

Another snow, freezing rain and then just rain as it warmed up. Quite the winter we're having here in Ottawa.
