A shot from the roof of our hotel - fabulous place to stay - great location...right between the bridge and the quay. Such fond, fond memories of my Australia trip and Sudoku family.

Good Maen, good people. We are allowed to use the church we applied to at a great price. Starr has her dress ordered plus the extra fabric = still under $200.

We found a dress for Little Plum and bought it. I order matching fabric to make a halter-style neckline for it because she More...

Got a question: Anyone know a place to get tartan plaid printed cotton fabric for decorating (swags)? Ideally, it would look like the Scottish National tartan in Modern colors - navy and emerald and black background with red and white accent stripes. I could even do without the white accent. I More...

Plum the only place I know of that sell tartans is a little shop in the Queen Mary. Even Fiona found her family tartan and a dress one, too. Didn't know you could have a plain one for everyday and a dress one, too.

everyone, just got back from the farmers market. They had a nice selection of freash fruits and vegetables, makes it hard to choose. I try to have an almost menu before I go so I will know what I need but that is always subject to change on what vegetables are there.

The weather here had been so nice this last week. We have had some much needed rain, the bean fields around here are looking good. The big bonus is the drop in temperature, feels so good. It was 65 when I left this morning.

Plum, I'm glad to hear you got the date & place you wanted for Starr's wedding. There are so many things to check off on the "To Do" list, aren't there!! I just realized yesterday that we have only 11 weeks now until Kyley's wedding day. She & Paul have More...

Plum, Try
I've been there and they have a zillion beautiful fabrics. While it is officially a quilt shop, the fabrics can be used for clothing, upholstery, curtains hobbies or whatever reason.

Plum, did you ask at a fabric store? Maybe they could order it for you. There was one place that I found on a quick search that sold fabric, 'Tartan Online'. It was pricey, though. Let me see if I can find the web site....

Maybe I should stick to puzzles.

The answer to yesterday's puzzle: Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

I thought this would be a difficult one. Heidi, Shannon, Shosho, Captain J, HalT, June, Greg, lonewoof, DotCom, Pam, CP, Aileen, and Sarah proved me wrong. All are familiar with "The More...

Plum, the town I live near is famous for its Scotch ancestry. We have a museum here that may be able to help you. Here's the website link:
You can give them a call. They should either have your tartan in stock or be able to tell you where to get it. Good luck.

I'm a leftie! Years ago my son(also a leftie) gave me a t-shirt that had printed on the front: "It's a left-handed thing. You wouldn't understand".

And for today....

The local Scots Society ran a Robbie Burns Party with free whiskey for all true Scotsmen. Five friends decided to join in, except they weren't really Scottish. As persistent wannabes, however, they found creative ways to introduce themselves.
