I hope Denny and Keith, and their houses, and families of course are still escaping the fires. The news reports are horrendous.

One afternoon a lawyer was riding in his limousine when he saw two men along the road-side eating grass.

Disturbed, he ordered his driver to stop and got out to investigate.

He asked one man, 'Why are you eating grass?'

'We don't have any money for food,' the poor man More...

The wind was supposed to come up last night, causing the fire to threaten homes, but that didn't happen here.
15/Oct/17 3:28 AM
Happy Saturday!
Glad to hear Keith and Denny are safe, as is my cousin who lives in Anaheim Hills--they voluntarily evacuated to her daughter's home in Huntington Beach.

1:48 Good morning from CynB's house in Brisbane. Had a lovely meeting yesterday with some absolutely lovely sudoku members. A quiet day today as it's raining and we need a rest. Have seen some wonderful sights around Brisbane with my lovely hosts.

Love my double plural on males and birds. Pretend it's French, then it won't be wrong :-)

Was great to finally meet you after all these years Anne. Enjoy the rest of your trip in the No 1 state.

A couple of very busy weeks. First the family from Melbourne and our night sleeping at the zoo. We then went to my daughter's farm where I tried to jump over a 2 1/2 foot ditch and ended flat on my face. Then last week we had a few days near the ocean about an hour south of Sydney. That was More...

Keep safe all those in California near the fires. Vici has a home somewhere in the mountains. I do hope she is also safe.

Good luck with the Sirtex procedure, June. I hope it all goes well for you.

We are getting towards the end of the page. Who wants to turn it? Peter was around a little while ago, and you can never write off Hal or Shosho.
