New Day, Mornin' All
15/May/10 12:00 AM
everyone! John, Jerry...
Beautiful day here after the rains. A bit too much rain, though. Three bridges on the golf course behind us END in the middle of the river on both sides. Rather hard to drive the carts across, I'd say!

John is off to a good start for the day...

Good morning, Ladies. Nothing like being the "token" guy to brighten my day!
15/May/10 12:03 AM
The two magnificent stallions, lined up behind the starting gate, nervously pawing the earth, impatiently waiting for the dawn of the new sudoku day!
15/May/10 12:05 AM
Good Maen all! My brain is mush today, but I'm off to the puzzle.

Shall we gather here in Braidwood for brunch?
15/May/10 12:06 AM
Oh Jerry - did you forget John? Sorry to say you are not here alone with us gals

According to what I read online, different site, last night, If the Atlantis launch goes today, I'll be able to see both the shuttle and the ISS pass over my location. (If the clouds don't return, of course.)

Vici, John, nearly always, posts # 1, then disappears. (I just assumed.) Besides, it's nice to dream....
15/May/10 12:11 AM
"pass over my location" should have been:
pass over my location, this evening.
15/May/10 12:15 AM
Jerry, he doesn't always disappear right away, Jerry. I think he quietly lingers a couple of minutes or so!
15/May/10 12:17 AM
Shoot, I have only 6 weeks to fly somewhere. Otherwise I'll loose "my miles". Two years ago, I flew on Christmas Day from Portland to Salt Lake City. I ate a "Whopper", at the airport Burger King, then caught the next flight back to Portland.
Kind of foolish, but it "saved" my miles.

1:50 Good evening all.
We've been seeing hundreds of photos of Braidwood on the kid's pages for years. I almost feel as if I've been there.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Where's Keith?
15/May/10 12:24 AM
Shiela, I waited THREE minutes.
15/May/10 12:25 AM
15/May/10 12:26 AM
Hard to wait, isn't it, Jerry! Three minutes works for me!
(Did it as an experiment... Wanted to see what would happen! "Waiting for Keith" happened another time this week and I think it stymied the site for a bit. So... three minutes is OK?)
15/May/10 12:44 AM
Does that make me "Mean in the Mornings"?
(Or just in the need of coffee???)

I'm waiting for the computer doc this morning. One of those "between 10 o'clock and when-ever" things...

The answer to yesterday's puzzle: Assassination

is here to congratulate: Mo, KarenJJ, Greg, Jeb, and Bluey!

Anyone want to give this one a try?

The answers to the two clues in each line below are six letter words that differ by only one letter. Example, if you trade off the p from stripe with the letter k in the same position you get strike. (chevron=stripe, hit=strike)

San Francisco 1906

Perhaps the oldest “home movie”
that you will ever see!

Now showing on my page…

15/May/10 2:35 AM
This film was "lost" for many years. It was the first 35mm
film ever. It was taken by camera mounted on the front of
a street car.

The number of automobiles is staggering for 1906. Absolutely amazing! The clock tower at the end of Market Street at the Embarcadero More...
