Glad to be here. Yesterday I was at a call-back mammogram at changeover time.

Today's photo brings to mind the age-old question ...

Q: Why do mermaids wear seashells?

A: Because D shells are too big and B shells are too small!

I'm home and somewhat organized. The (3 day) Scottish Festival was great, even with the weather being brain fryingly hot. Luckily there were open tents where you could get out of the sun. Believe me, I sat and listened to a lot More...

The bat has returned to her cave ... she must have needed the bat room. All is well with the World.
17/Jun/10 12:42 AM
well I updated my pay pal account. They stopped paying people because I hadn't talked to them in two years. If they had payed someone I didn't want them to pay I would have talked to them.
17/Jun/10 12:48 AM
Oohhh, Dorthea ... I'll bet they're shaking in their boots!
17/Jun/10 12:54 AM
Yep, just hanging around.

17/Jun/10 12:55 AM
I never talk to them, Dorthea. I just put money in and they take it out.

By the way, the "hammer" that was thrown was not a hammer as we know it. More like a bowling ball on a long chain. The guy was swinging it over his head and when he let go the announcer was heard to say over the loud speaker, "Oh, sh*t!", as did just about everyone else watching the competition. lol

Judy, it was so hot there, that even drinking gallons of water during the day, I never had to find a "bat room"! Just sweated away the fluids!

Kathy - did you catch any cabers? I noticed you didn't mention a hay toss - any reason?
17/Jun/10 1:12 AM
Welcome back, Kathy! Glad you had a good time.
17/Jun/10 1:20 AM
So, you never got to sit down, eh, Kath?
17/Jun/10 1:52 AM
Good Morning to everyone!
17/Jun/10 1:55 AM
Congrats, Shiela! That's great news--you bounce all you want!
17/Jun/10 2:03 AM
Probably not the best verb to describe Shiela's glee ...
17/Jun/10 2:06 AM
2:21 Hi to all. Welcome back Kathy. Shiela I'm glad it went okay for you, it is so important to have tests done x

Thought for the Day:

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities.

Eve, the "sheep" were bales of hay fashioned to look sort of like sheep. A pitch fork and a very tall bar were involved. The competitors in all the games were ranked from novice to professional. All wore kilts. As a matter of fact, most of the men at the festival wore kilts. Who knew More...
17/Jun/10 3:05 AM
Shiela! Great news!
17/Jun/10 3:08 AM
HI all! So that's how they do it in politically correct USA! They fashion bales of hay...not where I come from!!
17/Jun/10 3:24 AM
Hello grasshopper, nice to have you back!
17/Jun/10 3:25 AM
If they were wearing bike shorts, they weren't real Scots. Again, politically correct USA! Dear, dear.
17/Jun/10 3:26 AM
My riddle of a day or so ago brought in several attempts, but the answer I wanted was mini skirt, found by CG, lonewoof, Debby, and maybe someone else...maybe not. Will need to go check.
