These little beauties are so eager to eat that they will do so on your hand. I had that fabulous experience at June's home. She has all sorts of colorful birds in her gorgeous back yard.

After baby-sitting my almost 4 and almost 7 year-old grandsons last night... wouldn't their parents just love it if I gave them that daffyinition to use!!!
02/Dec/12 12:41 AM
Ah, fond memories, eh Vici. I tried to get them to eat out of my hand, too. They thought about it, but after a good, close look at my mug, they flew away in terror.

I thought of both Vicki and Keith feeding the lorikeets in my yard when I saw the photo. It was hard when there were a lot of other people about.

Hi Keith, June and Gail. Yes, those birds where brave with all the celebration going on in your yard, June. It was one of the highlights of my visit, though.

Didn't even know you were racing, eh Gail?
02/Dec/12 1:23 AM

Sore neck today. Didn't exercise, just lazily got up super late! You'd think with all the naps I took yesterday that I'd be . However I feel like something my cat dragged in!

I'm with you, Shiela! We don't have the colorful birds like the ones down under!
02/Dec/12 2:25 AM
