Good morning Hal and Hal. It is a very quiet start to the day. Everyone must be sleeping in.
20/Aug/17 12:18 AM
Not sleeping: Playing with my new phone. Unbelievable what it can do! No wonder all my students spend all their time looking at them (including when they walk in front of my car).
20/Aug/17 12:21 AM

Gorgeous flower! Wonder what tree it's from?
20/Aug/17 5:08 AM
Hubby & I decided to be wild and crazy and experience the total eclipse! Or as close to it as we can manage! I have visions of us with our eclipse-friendly cardboard glasses and sitting in our lawn chairs along side a traffic-blocked expressway - gazing upwards!!! Whatever will be, will be! See you Tuesday!

Not sleeping either...working my tokus off! First day of the big sale!
20/Aug/17 6:39 AM
Sounds like fun, Shiela! My son order a special filter, he will be photographing the eclipse.

The kitchen people are in trouble with my sister, the shelf collapsed and half her dinner plates smashed. Not a good start to life in her new home !

I've been working on the itinerary for our Great Lakes cruise. We will be making stops in Muskegon, Mackinac and MI. And Sault Ste. Marie, Little Current, Parry Sound, Midland, Windsor, Niagara Falls, and Toronto Ontario.
20/Aug/17 7:34 AM
Well will you look at that........
20/Aug/17 7:38 AM
I'll just amble through here and take that - Ta daaaah!
20/Aug/17 7:39 AM
Hal, going back to sea again......I think he's a latent Jack Tar.
20/Aug/17 7:41 AM
See Peter ? Not a thing wrong with an amble! Perfectly executed!
20/Aug/17 8:51 AM
1:43. Good morning everyone.
20/Aug/17 9:00 AM
Well Peter, I wouldn't really consider the Great Lakes as the 'sea.'
20/Aug/17 10:02 AM
Poor Peter. He gets in the bathtub, sticks his head under the water, and thinks he's back in a U-boat somewhere in the mid-Pacific.

Second posting of this puzzle.

I spent a fun afternoon in the hospital finding out what is wrong with my hip. I wanted to be sure it was not broken before I pursued physical therapy. Diagnosis was hip sprain/strain, which is usually due to sports injury or falling. Neither of those in my case, just the excruciating pain. I More...

20/Aug/17 12:37 PM
They call it 'Pipe down' in the navy, Hal.

You need to get used to it.

Oh yes, the Great Lakes, a body of water (big) is it not?
20/Aug/17 1:38 PM
For those , in the States and others also that are interested in the upcoming eclipse, this is a great website.

20/Aug/17 4:04 PM
2:01 Good evening all!
20/Aug/17 7:14 PM
I would have loved to see a total solar eclipse. I quess we cannot achieve all we wish for in our life time. I have seen total lunar eclipses and partial solar eclipses. I did see the transit of Venus several years ago which was a major event for me.
20/Aug/17 10:31 PM
Good Maen, good people.
20/Aug/17 11:05 PM
I couldn't find an inexpensive enough way to travel to the full eclipse area and stay two nights minimum. So we are staying home and intend to experience it vicariously through youTube and Facebook videos.
