Here is today's poozle:

It takes your breath away the first time you see it. Pictures can't convey how big it really is.

Not much going on today. My eldest is now into her second hour of taking a state exam, that I think is totally wrong, but no one listened to me.

For the past week, I have tried to fill her up with proteins and get plenty of rest. That was a battle all week until last night. She ate her brain food and was rushing me to tuck her into bed and she was out instantly. Actually before normal bedtime. Before bed, I was instructed to not make any More...

For breakfast, she wanted bacon and toast. I told her we did not have any bacon. I suggested eggs and sausage. I was informed she did not like eggs. Not too much of a shocker, she is not a big meat eater, though she will eat a steak like Man. (the meat is still moo-ing on the plate). She said she wanted my special toast. Really?

Thank-you all for your spirited greetings for my two-day birthday, which started yesterday and continues today !
I am busy following Kathy's advice by increasing my intake of cake - at least for the day !

Mom's Special Toast, aka French Toast. Apparently, the girl does not know what goes into my special toast.

, y'all! Here are the answers to the weekend's Twofold Articulations... a diurnal period deferred and a standard monetary unit of the United States and Canada diminished .

1. Look before you leap.
2. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
3. All’s fair in More...

I have been to the Grand Canyon one time for a very quick visit. It will definitely merit a second trip when I finally really retire.

My little video project for my troop's domestic violence awareness workshop is done. It'll make a good opener before getting into the meat of the workshop.

Just being hit by another storm with lots of noise (it woke me up),heavy rain and wind. We are OK but there are a lot of people being flooded and losing cars , homes and some lives from these storms. It has rained almost continually since Monday.
22/Apr/15 6:20 AM
Morning all, raining cats and dogs with lightening and thunder.
We were hoping to go home this morning, not sure if we will be able to get through.
22/Apr/15 6:28 AM
Lori, have a wonderful day celebrating.
22/Apr/15 6:35 AM
Amelia, I do hope that you can get through. It has been even worse where you live than in Sydney. We are having a small respite at the moment before the next downpour.
22/Apr/15 7:14 AM

I hope all our Aussie friends are making it through the storms safely. And I hope Amelia can get back home.
22/Apr/15 7:27 AM
1:35. Good morning everyone.

We've been lucky with the storms, probably because we're so far inland. Lots of wind, some of it damaging, but nowhere near on the same scale as other parts of the country. It made for an interesting run this morning. It was actually quite a fast 10km, and it was great when the wind was at my back but that inevitably meant there were times I was running straight into the it.
